Not for first time models builders
As previous reviewer‘s have commented this model is not for very young or first time model builders. This model gives back as much as you put in. Another word for this is patience. I did replace the clear plastic with a stronger plastic. I did love the results and added a horse and funeral Director.

Not for beginners but okay
I've been building wooden model ships for over a decade. While I'm not an expert builder, I would consider myself advanced. That being said, the overall kit is ok, just ok. I was missing parts and had one broken part (axle). If they were wooden, I could have made them, but they were metal. All of the metal parts need copius filing. For instance: one end of each axle was so large the wheels wouldn't fit. The lanterns needed a lot of attention. The lantern holders were also different sizes, but this was not fixable. These are just a few parts, but all of the metal needed filed. The book of instructions is good enough. The 4 or so giant pages of parts are useless. They added nothing helpful. With much extra attention and careful planning, you can produce a decent product. I would strongly recommend looking ahead to see how the parts interconnect. Always dry fit first because if you simply follow step by step, you will be frustrated. The wooden parts are ok. You will need wood filler and patient sanding to get a smooth surface ready for spray paint. Make sure you have plenty of clamps and sandpaper. You will need them. If you give the glue on both wood and metal sufficient drying time (at least overnight), you will have a solid piece.Perhaps I simply received the end of day at end of week one-off. I hope your kit is complete and workable. If you are missing parts and/or have broken parts, you can file a claim for them. The information is included in kit.

Looks awesome it will take awhile to assemble but will be worth the effort.
