Great car fridge
This has been a great car fridge so far. The technology has advanced so much since that they’re not the noisy, heavy bricks of the past where the motor and condensers took up most of the space giving you little to no room for much more than a six pack of soda. This fridge takes no time at all to cool to its set temperatures and having the dual compartments makes transporting frozen foods in the summer so less stressful. I was always worried about getting food items home fast before they melted but with this fridge I’m able to make other stops and not worry.I also have an off grid property out in the middle of nowhere that I can run this fridge off a solar power system and it only draws 34 watts when the compressor kicks on. In the future I might be in the market for one of the brand’s bigger models but so far I’m very pleased with this one and glad I bought it.

AWESOME portable refridgerator - Also Heavy
I use this for traveling. It's like having a mini fridge (with a freezer) or just a refrigerator. You can control both the fridge and the freezer separately. The only downside is that it's heavy, especially when loaded. It needs wheels or some user-friendly way of transporting it from the house to the car and back again. I bought a power brick that converts the cigarette lighter plug to AC. It works flawlessly, and I've taken it on many trips. Heck, you can even transport ice cream or other frozen foods.

Great value
I’ve had this for over 6 months and it works great. The settings are not accurate, I keep it at -8 degrees because I found my milk to expire before expiration date on all other settings which took me a few months to realize. Ice cream does not stay frozen, it keeps at a whip cream consistency at -8 which is the lowest setting. Liquids don’t freeze. I still think it’s a great value considering I live out of my truck and off road in the mountains and this thing still works.

Very nicely designed camping fridge from Philips
I ordered the 48Q version for over-landing trips in my 4WD 4Runner and was suitable impressed with the performance. Cools down very rapidly and this is probably the smallest portable electric icebox I've seen that support dual cooling zones which is sweet! In a word... it performs very well. Only complaint would be the physical interface and the LCD. The LCD is very hard to read in sunlight and you have to use those typical hold/two-push type moves to access many of the setup options. It was complicated enough that I ended up typing up a summary of the operation instructions and then securely taping them to the icebox for reference. One note, the interface locks the icebox from further changes after about 30 seconds for safety reasons. You'll have to do an unlock to then make further changes. Other than the slightly complex interface, this is one heck of an icebox for the price. Philips is new to this type of product but, IMHO, they hit it out of the ballpark on their first try. Recommended.

[UPDATED] Terribly loud noise after 1 month for indoor use
The media could not be loaded. Updated:Customer service quickly contacted me to honour the warranty of the refrigerator, which is not often seen after the return window of Amazon closed.Their customer service is considered top notch in many years' experience of using Amazon. The new one now operates as described.5-star.Original:Returned the first one that has a faulty temperature sensor issue. It won't stop cooling even everything inside was freezing icy cold, when the screen shows the inside temperature as around 70F. This happened about 3 months of using indoor and has passed Amazon return window. But the customer service let me returned it anyway. This second one, I bought as a replacement. This doesn't have temperature sensor issue but started to have terribly loud noise when operating, after 1 month of indoor use.It seems something is loose inside so it vibrates against the sidewall. I can press and hold firmly on it to make it less loud but still considerably noisy.I placed a decible meter near the refrigerator in the video that you could hear and see how bad it is: 60+ decible.Such noise is intolerably loud in room and let alone using it in the car/RV.

Malfunctioning product and zero customer support.
The items controls do not work. It decides what temperature it will operate at. Eventually it chooses to freeze everything solid. The numbers and link provided for customer care on this product do not work. After contacting 7 different Philips customer care centers no one will do anything with this product. They are aware the numbers and web link on Amazon do not work, but no one knows how to change them. Amazon customer care just keeps referring me to the same non working link and a phone number that goes to a completely different company.

Great customer service!
Unboxed yesterday. Waited 24 hours to turn on. Unable to read instructions without taking a photo with my phone and enlarging. Not intuitive, yet rather tricky to change settings. Ran well, cooled quickly with an average wattage draw of about 40w from my VTOMAN solar generator. Goes into automatic screen lock mode 30 seconds after no activity. Control panel did not respond to unlock mechanism. In order to unlock to change settings, had to turn the unit off. OFF button did not work and I tried many times in many ways. Had to unplug to turn off. Not worth the hassle for the money. Apparently a control panel defect. Returned unit and awaiting a refund. Will update when I receive it.UPDATE: Philips was quick to respond. Not only did they refund my purchase price, but sent me a new unit free of charge for my trouble. The new unit works well with none of the previous issues. I must say their customer service is tremendous! For that reason alone I would recommend this product! To know you have support when things go wrong is hard to find theses days. So thanks to them for going over and above! I am now a loyal customer and will recommend this unit to my friends.

We love this refrigerator/ freezer
It has 2 compartments, either can be set at individual temperature to keep items cold or frozen. It’s not noisy. We’re so thankful to have purchased it. We use it in our RV or van but can be plugged in anywhere. It was a smart purchase for us, we always have enough space for our food to be kept cold. Great quality!
