I substituted this creamy black sesame paste for the peanut butter in my favorite cookie recipe, and the result is delicious dark grey cookies! They look like pumice, but the texture, flavor, and aroma is spot on. The sesame paste is very loose, similar to warm natural peanut butter; you don’t need to squeeze the pouch firmly to get out the paste. You just tip it up and it will almost pour out. After making cookies, there is enough left for a salad dressing, using it in place of toasted sesame seed oil in my Asian-inspired dressing recipe. The color of the paste is striking, and the flavor can go savory or sweet, since the paste itself tastes just like toasted seeds. I will be reordering.

This is quite tasty! It's basically the darker richer cousin to tahini which is made from white sesame seeds.You can drizzle it on as a savory ingredient as is, or you can add honey, maple syrup, or any other sweetener and use it as a sweet drizzle on top of ice cream or baked goods. You can also use it as an ingredient for your baking, to add that nutty flavor and to give your batter or dough a darker brown/almost black appearance.It's very hard to find black Sesame paste in American markets, so I'm happy to have found it here on Amazon.

First time trying black sesame sauce, but have seen it used in a lot of Japanese food on TV shows so have wanted to try for a long time. It was easy to squirt out of the bottle. I drizzled this on my vanilla ice cream and not only did it look pretty, it tasted great too! I've seen that you can put this on non-dessert food too like noodles or eggs.

Strong, nutty, sesame flavor; very black in color. Yum!

This is a very rich sauce, it’s a deep black color with a pronounced sesame flavor. We mixed it with honey as suggested and used as a sauce for mochi ice cream, it was really good. Striking in appearance as well. It’s pretty pricey so it’s a special occasion treat but you really don’t need very much and it’s really good.

This black sesame paste tastes rich and creamy. It's not sweeten so you can either add sweetener to it or enjoy it with a sweet dessert. It comes in a small bag with a cap on top to dispense. When you squeeze the bag, it's easy to dispense a lot at once so it's best to dispense it on a spoon before drizzle on a plate.

This sesame paste is delicious and it tastes fresh. It's a very unique product and hard to find which I'm sure accounts for the price, but it's a pretty small pouch.
