I absolutely love, love this book; every recipe, every picture, especially where ATK explains why a recipe works.

I bought a savory book from America’s Test Kitchen during the prime day sales and likes the layout and additional info so much that I grabbed this one. I was doing cake and cupcakes for a wedding and literally switched out all my recipes for these 5 days before. The chocolate cupcake recipe alone is worth the entire book. Who knew you could bake them with ganache on top and it would sink down perfectly?! Saved me sooooo much time not having to core and fill 200 cupcakes. The yellow recipe was also delicious! There’s so many other awesome recipes I have yet to try but from an experienced baker - so worth it!!!

This cookbook is amazingly helpful for new bakers and those of us a bit set in our ways. Great for new bakers because it starts right off teaching you how to get started and includes many techniques. I bought one for me and one as a gift. I am in my 60's and I have learned some new methods for cake baking.

I baked the Strawberry Dream Cake for my daughter’s birthday dinner party. It was easy and delicious !!! My daughter, guests, and family absolutely loved it! I know I can rely on the recipes to come out perfectly and the photos are beautiful and inspirational.

This is a great cake book, but I removed one full star bc everyone who bakes professionally, or at least seriously as a home baker, knows that you weigh your ingredients using a kitchen scale.This book goes over this very thing itself, yet there are no gram measurements in this book, just ounces.Grams are more precise and universally used. Weighing your ingredients uses fewer dishes and gives a more precise and easy to replicate recipe.I’m just surprised that ATK would do this with their baking books.

Absolutely buy it! This book feels like a baking course and recipe book in one! I've baked one cake with it after buying it a week ago. And the cake is a crowd-pleaser! Great instructions, clear content, and great recipes!

Book is great, great detail, recipes, and photos.Perfect for the beginner or experienced baker. Something for everyone and any event.

This is by far my favorite cookbook, I have made so many cakes from this book and every one of them has come out perfect. I have made Magic Chocolate Flan Cake, Honey Cake, Rustic Blackberry Mascarpone Lemon Cake, Hummingbird Cake.. the list goes on. This is the best book I have in my collection.
