Don’t take on an Empty Stomach (And I’ll Consult my MD before taking regularly)
SHORT REVIEW: I wanted to try this Gallbladder Formula as I haven’t had one (a Gallbladder that is) for decades, struggle with gas occasionally, and because Carlyle Nutritionals is a brand I’ve come to respect. That said, this appears to be a strong formulation, and I don’t feel comfortable using it regularly until I’ve spoken with my Health Care Provider.Company Transparency. Carlyle Nutritionals claims on their web page that “Our founders started out over 40 years ago with only a few core products and a strong purpose in mind.” They also claim that three generations are involved, so it sounds like a family run business. I don’t see any trademark activity for this specific brand until 2018. They have a robust, information filled web page.Accountability: Carlyle claims manufacturer products are made in Good Manufacturing Practices Certified facilities (on their website). Their webpage contains detailed information about ‘how we test’, which includes testing Raw Material and Microbiological Level testing, Assaying to make “certain what’s inside each bottle matches the label” and Purity Screening for GMO’s Allergens, Dioxins and other unnatural materialsQuality: These are 120 Capsules containing an “Advanced Digestive Enzyme” complex. They have a scent which I don’t personally notice unless my nose is “right there.”. Another reviewer has tasted them, so I’ll skip the taste test. There are warnings in caps that say “Do Not Take on an Empty Stomach.” I did take one on a full stomach, it was easy to swallow.Ingredients: The first ingredient is 1000 mg of pancreatin, followed by 400 mg betaine hydrochloride, 300 mg bile salts, 200 mg turmeric, 175 mg milk thistle, Chanca Piedra, slippery elm, and Taurine.I got this because I have no gallbladder, but because the body is complicated and because I’m unfamiliar with enzymes, or what “Gallbladder Formula” even means (Does it reference a Gallbladder that’s underactive, overactive, or gone?), I won’t take this regularly until I’ve spoken with a doctor (preferably a naturopath or a specialist of some sort).

Didn't notice much digestion improvement
While I can't fully give this a thumbs up, I can't give it a full thumbs down either. My digestion didn't notice any real improvement, but that's not to say it's complete garbage either. To me, it shows that my gut flora is healthier than I thought it was. Some folks need this more...

Ugh
Within 12 hours of starting this supplement I was having nausea, stomach pain, and severe diarrhea. Skip this and ask your doctor what they recommend instead.
