Not sure if they work
They do seem to work well as general toothpaste. Its unusual in tablet form and you have to be more careful not to swallow them. However my teeth dont seem to look any different after using twice a day in place od my normal toothpaste. The flavour was also not great. I did gag a couple times as they seem to vary very slightly tablet to tablet.Useful i think if going away on a holiday instead of toothpaste. Less chance of any leakage. But i think thats all.i wouls get these for.Saving the rest for holiday use

Handy for travelling
These toothpaste tablets are handy to take travelling, or even just to pop some in your bag. Especially good if going through airport security checks where you don't want too many different tubes and bottles in your hand luggage. You chew one of them and then use the 'foam' instead of toothpaste to brush your teeth. They don't foam overly and be aware that they do taste 'chalky', in part due to the baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), which is a whitening agent. There are 60 tablets in total.

The whitening one
These aren't quite what I expected, but they are great! What I thought I was getting was an alternative to cleaning my teeth, which would have been really useful when in the office or camping to save a toothbrush and paste. Instead they are an alternative to toothpaste and water.Essentially, you chew one (and try not to eat it like a mint, as they are tasty), then clean your teeth using the foam it makes without any additional water. You don't rinse, and leave the rest on as a re-mineraliser.You get 60 servings in a bag and used twice a day will last a month. At £4.99 the price isn't too bad, but is more than you'd probably spend on toothpaste. Still, I suppose you save a bit on water. So far I've tried 3 types: complete protection, whitening, and sensitive. apart from the colours of the tablets, I can't find any real difference between them, but I don't think I'll be able to in the time allocated for a review.Overall, I'm pleased with these. They are easy to use, taste good and work well. They also save water, which is good for your pocket and the environment - 5/5 - recommended.

A matter of taste.
Glad to have tried these Whitening Toothpaste tablets, but I’m not really sure that I see the point of them. I chewed, as instructed, and ended up with a mouthful of vaguely minty grit with a rather unpleasant taste. I then brushed but my teeth still didn’t feel really clean, so I reverted to ‘proper’ toothpaste. Whether these tablets whiten teeth, I don’t know but mind you, sodium bicarbonate is an old fashioned cheap and effective tooth whitener. If tempted to use these for travel, you would find it more convenient to grab a small travel-size tube of toothpaste. Sorry, but I think this is just a gimmicky solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.

Handy for travel.
These are quite handy for travel or keeping in the car or your handbag for emergencies. Other than that I probably wouldn't use them all the time. The idea is good but they don't foam much, they're not very minty fresh and they're a bit chalky so you feel like you need to rinse after brushing. You're not really meant to rinse after brushing and it defeats the point of using these.

Don't really foam
These are a very useful idea and great for travelling. You chew the tablet until it foams, however I found they barely foamed at all. I usually try and get SLS free toothpaste so I'm used to my toothpaste not foaming loads, but these had so little that I felt like I wasn't getting a great clean. However, the do seem to work as well as any other toothpaste. I can't say I've noticed any whitening, but with more consistent use perhaps they work better on the whitening front. They're quite pricey when you consider they'd last 30 days if used twice a day. However, they're good for travelling as they're not liquid and don't take up much space.I'm not convinced by the claim to use less water - you use the same amount of water as regular toothpaste as you're not supposed to rinse your mouth using regular toothpaste either. And if you wet your toothbrush with regular toothpaste, you will want to with these as well. The pouch they come in is plastic, but probably slightly less plastic than a full tube of toothpaste. However, I think a full tube of toothpaste will last longer.A good idea, but not something I will personally continue using for my daily brushing, but will continue to use them for travelling

OK but a bit over-hyped
I have used toothpaste tablets for a few years so have none of the issues others have switching from traditional toothpaste. I switched to tablets for the environmental impact of plastic use reduction but as these Smile Science tablets come in plastic pouches it's not really a selling point here. I liked the idea that they have different types for different needs as other brands don't and here you get the choice of sensitive and whitening to line of with traditional toothpastes. They work well with a few chews to break up the table, but you do need to wet the toothbrush as much as with traditional toothpaste so the claim of 'no water' isn't true in my opinion, though neither uses a lot of water - surely no-one runs the tap through the whole brushing process like we inexplicably did in the old days.I use with both a manual and electric toothbrush and am happy with the result of the clean. It does a satisfactory job but there are other brands that come supplied in paper that I will stick with.
