My husband had a stroke 3 years ago. Since then, he doesn't like to eat real food. All he'll eat is junk like cookies, those peanut butter on cheese crackers, candy, brownies, and the like. He loves peanut butter so when I saw this, I was excited.I bought it and when it came , I immediately washed and dried it, and used it to make him peanut butter and "chocolate" pockets . . . my way. I mix chocolate protein powder into a sufficient amount of peanut butter to make 2 pockets, then I spread it onto the bread. I lay one slice down on the pocket maker, then I added a little mashed banana, with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top of the peanut butter/protein powder mixture. I place the second slice on top of the first one and closed the pocket maker and he has his sweet treat, but he's getting the protein not only from the peanut butter, but the protein powder that he thinks is cocoa powder, and potassium and other vitamins from the banana along with the benefits of the cinnamon !Here's a couple of tips for you :1) The design of the device has a metal ring that comes on the maker, to cut the bread into the circle, is removeale. I removed it, and using a standard sized hamburger bun instead of sliced bread, I made him a pocket on the bun by pressing it closed to crimp and seal the edges of the bun. It worked perfectly.2) I used the ring on the white bread by using the dull side, by laying it on the bread and giving it a gentle press, just mark the bread so I know where to fill it. That way, I don't overfill it and have waste when it cuts away the edges.3) When you cut away the edges, get an empty bread bag or even a zip lock bag, and save the bread cuttings, if they have no other food on them, in the freezer. When you get enough bread scraps, cut them up, sprinkle them with olive oil, put a little Italian seasoning on them, and toss them up to distribute the seasoning and oil. Spread them onto a cookie sheet, and put them into a 375°F oven thats been preheated, for 12-15 minutes, stirring them once. When they're nice and toasted, remove from the oven and cool completely . Put them into an airtight container and use as croutons on salads, soups, etc. you can also grind them up or just put them into a food storage bag and smash them into bread crumbs. Change up the seasons to onion powder, garlic powder, and some poultry seasoning, to make bread stuffing from them.This pocket maker is awesome ! It would make a great breakfast sandwich pocket using regular sliced bread, with the cutter and with scrambeled eggs, bacon bits and cheese in it. Make cheese pockets then heat them in a pan or in the oven,1 for grilled cheese pockets. Make not so sloppy joes, tuna, chicken, ham, or egg salad salad sandwich pockets and so much more !!!

I purchased this so I could save money and make my own crustables! Great product and definitely worth the money! The only thing is thick bread is harder to press down, but it does still work!

Love! Cuts very easily. My kids like to help with them. Exactly what I wanted. Takes just the crust off - very little bread is wasted. Seals well.

This is a such a great idea and a game changer for toddler lunches! Seriously saves you so much money on buying pre made sandwiches, plus it’s more healthy without so many added ingredients and preservatives. Really simple to use, works well and is easy to clean! Worked but not as well as expected. Even with tons of pressure it did not consistently cut all the way through.The crimping part of this sandwich maker did not work well either. Not sure if it was operator error or if an all-metal version would have worked better
