Jagua did not develop, no customer service
I love jagua! Whatever this company is selling is horribly quality. I left it on for 2 hours. I’m fair skinned and only the lightest grey shadow developed the next morning. I reached out to their customer service on Instagram several times. They post daily that they’re “giving away” free bottles, but NEVER do. They deleted my comments and never even opened my messages. Horrible customer service. Their entire business and product is trash.

Did not come out like the pictures in the listing at all.
I was really excited to try this product, but was disappointed at the outcome. The item arrives in a box with info about the product on the front and back (pics #1 & #2). The tube itself is labeled as well with a reminder to "Mix well before use" and "Store in Freezer" on the backside (pics #3 & #4). The top cap came with a nice metal tip for accuracy during application (pic #5). Also included in the box is a little instruction sheet (pic #6).I was really excited to try this so i applied a tattoo stencil on my skin first (pic #7) and while the stencil was drying, I followed the instructions by first using a little bamboo mixing rod and mixed it for about 5 minutes (pic #8), and then capped the bottle and shook the the bottle for about 4 minutes just to ensure it was well mixed before applying it. The outcome after applying it can be seen in pic #9. The consistency of the product after application didn't appear consistent as you can see in pic #9, but I let it dry. It basically dried on my skin and lifted right off like a scab, but there wasn't even a faint image left. I didn't bother to take a picture because I wanted to give it another try.On my 2nd attempt, I used a plastic mixer that had a flat end purposefully used to mix inks as you can see in pic #10. This time, i mixed the bottle for about 10 minutes, twisting and twirling the mixing rod, scraping the bottom and sides as well followed by 5 minutes of shaking the bottle with the cap in. This time, i actually used a stencil used for henna and you can see that I taped it securely to my skin in pic #11. I thought maybe the actual tattoo stencil i used initially interfered with absorption somehow. As you can see in pic #11, the gel was placed directly on my skin. I also drew a little heart below the stencil as a sort of "control" as you can see in pic #12.After everything dried, i removed the taped stencil first. As you can see in pic #13, I circled the area where there should have been something, there is nothing! Not even a faint image of any sort. Next I removed the "control" which lifted off like a scab, and there was a barely visible heart. I drew a little arrow pointing to the heart in pic #14. It did not darken at all, but rather disappeared after a day. Instructions were followed precisely, i mixed the product with two different mixing sticks with one being an actual tattoo paint mixer and followed the stick mixing up with shaking the bottle vigorously. It simply did not work for me and the listing pictures appear to be black and not dark blue. Not sure if I received a bad batch, but it simply did not work for me as described in the item listing.

Stencils help
With stencils, my niece and I had a day of hanging out and doing girly things and were able to do some fun neat designs with this that have been sticking around and not smudging or blurring. We tried to freehand, but didn’t do that good so found some stencils and that made all the difference and really helped. Lots of fun and kept us busy for a while over an hour.

Did not meet expectations
I love jagua because how dark it gets, but this did not meet my expectations. It did get darker after 24 hours, but turned into a faded brown sort of like henna. Never got darker than that. It lasted about a little over a week so it does temporarily work! I do have sensitive skin and I did not react to this which is good, BUT......to be labeled as Jagua that sort of (not really) gets dark, I know there are better options out there with better value.

Works Well But Marked Jagua While Ingredients Are Henna
So I'm not sure if I was sent the wrong bottle or what but I received henna instead of Jagua.Jagua is made from the Genipa Americana tree and Henna is made from the Lawsonia Inermis plant. The bottle that I received says Henna on the front and has listed under the ingredients Lawsonia Inermis. The Amazon label on the side of the box says Jagua. Not sure what is going on but pretty sure I received Henna instead of Jagua. Now, to me thats not as big of a deal. I don't mind either way. Though, I've read that Jagua tends to last a tad longer. The colors are different if that matters to you with Jagua being more black/blue and Henna being brown. However, I mostly got this set to try temporary tattoos with my friends as a silly thing and it doesn't matter to use if it is brown or blue/black.This paste went on well and seems to be lasting so no complaints on that. The little tip is nice and easily applies. It has a slight smell but thats just from being actual Henna from plant material. Make sure you follow the instructions and let it dry well.

Actually henna, and not very dark
I love henna and wanted to try jagua, but the ingredients on this box say it's just henna. Still, I don't mind using premixed henna if it comes out dark... but this didn't. I shook it pretty thoroughly to mix it, but I think I'll stick with ordering powder from now on.
