Well worth the price.
Built like a tank dropped it several times from 3 feet on cement floor , not even a scratch.Radio menu and buttons are very intuitive.Th3 captures frequencies a bit better but I sure do appreciate the sound out of the GM30 plus much more . Makes any background bacon sound much more tolerable. Accepts Chirp using beofang uv17 plus as stand in. I have not jailbroken it so not much to say there.

Impressive Features at This Price Point!
The Radioddity GM-30 Plus really packs a lot of value at a reasonable price point! For my daughter & son-in-law being new to GMRS (and radio in general) I felt the GM-30 Plus looked like a solid choice and found this to be very true.Pros: Easy to use/navigate functions, good RX/TX audio, sensitive RX across multiple bands including ham, public safety (analog only), weather, etc., GPS location sharing with other GM-30 Plus radios, USB-C charging, easy to read display, 10 zones for memory management, solid 'real' radio feel in the hand...it's just a really good radio!Cons: Only a few little niggles about this radio in my eyes: battery life seems to be a little shorter than I would expect even with settings tweaked to maximize battery life and the fact that when selecting a zone it is tied to BOTH A&B sides of the radio so you are restricted to only listening to different memory channels within the same zone on each side of the radio. Neither of these are deal-killers, but be aware.Overall the Radioddity GM-30 Plus is a very solid & very capable radio that I would recommend to any GMRS user, new or experienced.

They are everything they advertise
The main reason I purchased them was the GPS capabilityThey are everything they said they are. They are easy to program a little bit confusing haven’t been in radios for quite a while.11 the mountain, so the range is somewhat limited because of the mountains in the trees buying and setting up a repeater system for himAll a drawback I found is I need to carry a additional battery pack because the GPS runs the battery down quite a bit

Quality is great
A huge bargain for the price you can't go wrong with all these techno upgrades. Features way to many to explain YouTube channel covers that. Excellent build quality par with more expensive radios. Now don't let all this scare you off because this radio is amateur friendly and easy to use as long as you have the patience of a Saint. Geared to family use , for all ages all though it's is an advanced radio for GRMS. Air bands and 1,000 other channels it's can receive. Mine received a channel 600 miles away.

The Two-Way radio that could have been awesome!
Id love to give this 5 star review but there is a ton to unpack here... or should I say the lack of stuff to unpack.1. everything so far from Radioddity is unusable, its not chirp compatible and the proprietary software to program the radio is windows only... I have a Mac, that should have been specified in the requirements of ownership somewhere on amazon or anywhere on their website with features leading to " oh by the way good luck if you don't have a windows 10 computer" yeah if you have windows 11 their software doesn't work either. There is a work around with chirp but I'm not going to get into that.2. Amazing male voice... captain Sulu style that is better than the whining female voices from every other radio. I gave this one star.3. microphone and speaker are by far the best I've listened to and used so far, the quality is the best it can possibly be without it being a cellphone. I gave that its last star.4. battery life. less than 24 hours even without active communication. woke up from a storm and found that the device had died. probably best at 10-12 hours of use.5. Seriously neutered device. if you only care to use this as a GMRS radio only with repeaters then that's fine. idk why you would need 1000 channels of memory then if you can't even transmit on them. I get the Airbands but there should be a way to unlock this and let me choose which frequencies I need to transmit on. Again programing would be best if this could be done on an iPhone, or a Mac but anyone who still uses PC's or android devices are seriously behind the times and all of radioddity devices are apparently like that.6. NOAA channels but no NOAA alerts?! probably cause of the poor battery life, but as far as I'm concerned any radio that that is marketed in the USA needs to have this mandatory its not that difficult. my kids walk-talkies have this feature and its just an FRS so come on.7. missing flashlight. take it or leave it a flashlight is a must especially one that has both red and white light. except for if you look on the button above the transmit button it shows a flashlight. what the heck is that for then?!8. plastic belt clip instead of metal.9. the p1, p2, needs to be renamed FRQ/CH and A/B p1 and p2 are too confusing compared to other radios10. GPS function could be better where there would be at least a way to track back or mark your location function and have some clue of where you are.In closing thoughts I hope everyone uses this voice on other radios. if they made this chirp enabled and unlock able on the other frequencies to transmit on id deal with everything else. but I can't recommend this radio or the old version of GM-30 or any product for radioddity to anyone unless they make their radios chirp supported with MAC's and have a way to unlock their devices. PERIOD!
