Finished model looks very nice - very giftable
Nifeliz North BattleshipFirst, if you're not familiar with Nifeliz, I have to say that this is a premium brand. Priced far better than LEGO, Nifeliz quality is consistently high. They take great care in packaging and well written English. This brand doesn't disappoint.5 star – giftable5 star – instructions4 star – parts and fitmentN/A star – stickers (no stickers)5 star – finished buildThis kit makes a great gift. The packaging is artful, with heavy box materials. This kit doesn't have additional interior boxes like some of their higher end kits, but it's still very nicely packaged. The instruction manual is printed on thick paper. There is an artful preface in the front pages with information about the North Carolina class battleship. The text is very well written/edited English. Think "coffee table book".The parts are all high-quality. Fitment is excellent. I was missing one small part (a small black wedge on the hull), and unlike many of the Nifeliz kits, this one doesn't have any extra parts! (There was an extra of a different small part.) I've built quite a few Nifeliz kits, and haven't seen a missing part before, so I'll consider this an anomaly. The hull design is quite interesting. Difficult to make a curved hull with bricks. It's built with an interior frame and the exterior panels are hinged together and clipped to the interior frame. One nice thing is that the interior frame is quite sturdy when pressing down from the top (like for decking). The side panels though can be a little tricky to fit together without the hinge parts popping off. I had difficulty getting the panels clipped into the final clip - but was able to do it.Some might consider sections a bit boring. It's hull, hull, hull, and then deck, and doo-dads on top. But the finished look is really great - very convincing. The lines and colors of the hull work really well. The stand is nice, and there's a printed plaque on the stand. The kit is large, measuring 28" in length. It's nice showpiece model.Side note - for those not aware, LEGO has a long-standing policy against designing realistic weapons or military vehicles. So you won't find anything like this from LEGO. If you're a naval fan, you'll love this ship.

10/10
10/10Very fun build. Packaged well, great and clear instructions. Good quality pieces (and no missing pieces). Very impressed by Nifeliz as usual I would say it’s a great set for experts since it requires attention to the exact dimensions as shown in the instructions

Nice looking, but some poor designed areas
The North Battleship is the eighth build I have done by Nifeliz. Their models are generally nice builds and this one is too.....mostly.The set comes in a very giftable box with an image of the finished model on the cover. Inside is the manual and all of the bricks in numbered bags (1-5). Nifeliz also always adds these cardboard bins to hold sorted bricks. They are great and a nice addition. The bricks are all Lego compatible and, for the most part snap together easily. There were a few spots that were definitely frustrating but I'll get to that later. The manual is easy to follow for the entire base but gets a little trickier when you get to the solid blue bricks that make up the entire deck of the ship. These can be tough to tell apart as they are all the same color but if you look close enough you can make out the different shapes.Once of the best things about Nifeliz builds is their brick bag designs. There are multiple bags per each step. Each one is broken down further with the steps those bags are used for! So the first bag will show a 1 and then 1-14 for steps 1-14 (bet you didn't see that one coming!). It really is great because you won't have to sort through hundreds of bricks you won't need yet saving lots of time. The build is relatively easy through most of the sections until you get to the side assemblies on the front and rear sections. There are eight parts that are connected with "tongue and groove" bricks (see my picture) and they are incredibly frustrating to snap together without things coming loose over and over. Once you power through that section, it's smooth sailing through the rest. The end model is a great looking battleship model. It is an impressive size and a great display piece at over two feet long. It feels pretty solid but I don't know how it would stand up to being played with. For only $70, this is a nice build at a great price. I would rate it a 3.5 star if hlf stars were allowed, but rounding it up to four because it definitely isn't a 3.

A Fun and Detailed Build for Ship Enthusiasts
This Nifeliz North Battleship building block set provided an enjoyable building experience from the start. As my first encounter with Nifeliz, I was thoroughly impressed. The box art is beautifully printed and geared toward adult builders, featuring a sleek product image.Upon opening the box, I found numbered bags organized by sections and steps. Nifeliz makes it easy for builders by subdividing the bags—section 1, for example, includes bags for steps 1 to 9 and then continues with bags for steps 10-18. The instructions also indicate how many bags there should be for these steps, minimizing the number of pieces to sort through at any given time and making the building process much smoother. The instruction manual highlights this structure clearly at the beginning.A fantastic feature is the included flattened cardboard trays, which allow you to keep your pieces tidy while you build. As an avid brick builder, I didn't need the trays personally, but I appreciate the convenience they offer. The instructions are well-printed, with each step outlined in red for easy navigation. The first few pages provide background information about the battleship along with the numbered bag instructions. One minor challenge I encountered in the instructions was with the piece placement towards the end, particularly with the dark blue pieces, which made it difficult to see and understand where some parts fit. I recommend building in a well-lit area. The piece quality is impressive, with bricks sourced from different manufacturers, resulting in slight variations in quality and colour. However, these differences are barely noticeable. All pieces fit together well, providing great clutch, and I didn't encounter any loose connections. I did have a small issue with some hinge pieces that seemed to be the wrong type, preventing me from attaching certain parts. While this didn't significantly affect the final build, I thought it was worth mentioning. The build took me just over three evenings, though I can't provide an exact timeframe due to interruptions. This set can easily be completed in sections over several days, and the steps felt varied enough to keep things interesting. I didn't find the set too challenging; it held together well as I added new sections, and once completed, the structure is sturdy. It includes a buildable stand with a small plaque, perfect for display. Measuring 28 inches in length and 5 inches deep, it’s larger than I expected but would fit nicely on a mantle or wall shelving. In my opinion, this set offers excellent value at just under $100 at the time of writing this review, with a price per piece of roughly 6 cents. It was a delightful build filled with detail, making it a beautiful display piece once finished. For anyone who enjoys building blocks and has a passion for ships or battleships, this set is a fantastic choice!
