These seem legit
What do I know about rice hulls for plants etc? Just what I've read on this listing. Are these rice hulls better than others out there? I bet they are all the same, but if you search Amazon for rice hulls, there's a ton of them out there, usually in larger quantities. This 10.58oz is just a starter bag, with a starter price. We'll mix them in with the worm castings and other compost in our raised garden this spring, but I suspect I'll need a lot more to make a noticeable difference in my use case.

Worst decision ever.
I used it as a cover on my seedlings and now my pot is infested with mealy bugs on the outside of the pot. The soil I used was sterilized but I didn’t sterilize the hulls. I had to spray everything down with a neem mixture to slow the infestation down. Weeds and rice started growing randomly. It smells like a gerbil tank. I hope my seedlings survive.

Added this to my soil and it increased drainage!
I cut my top soil with this for my succulents and other plants (not all of them, as I'm testing these) and so far it's been productive! The plants are doing well and it seems to drain well, giving me peace of mind that there isn't going to be root rot. (Although I'm careful about that regardless). It'll take more time to see the growth rate, but as for the smell, if you don't use too much in conjunction with the soil, it's completely fine. But if you're heavy handed it can smell like you have a hamster enclosure for a bit.Overall, it's a great addition for plants! Indoors for sure, outdoors especially, in my opinion.
