These are great hoops! They look beautiful for framing finished projects and they also work well for stitching. I normally use qsnaps to stitch but I wanted to do a project that was too small for them so I just stitched it in this hoop I was going to frame it in and it kept the tension very well. And don't believe the reviews saying the hook is off centered on the oval frame. It's a flexible piece of rubber... just rotate it.

I've wanted to order these for a while, but didn't know how worth it the extra money would be to spend on these over regular wood hoops.. i openned the package and was immediately sold. I'm already going to be ordering another set after I'm done this review. This is the only way I will finish my cross stitch patterns from now on. They do have a little shine to them because they are made out of rubby plastic, but they look so much better than regular hoops. Much classier and cleaner and having an actual hoop to hang it up with is so much better too. Be aware they run just slightly smaller than regular emboidery hoops and you definitely cannot work in these, they are for displaying only.

I’ve ordered this set of hoops three times and have always been happy with the quality and how they look. I really don’t understand some of these other reviews I’ve read. For instance one reviewer said beware that they weren’t wood… ?? Umm hello.. it literally says that they’re not wood in several places lol. Another reviewer says that they’re great to put the finished product in for display but not great for actually using. Why not? Holding it while embroidering works and feels exactly the same as the traditional wooden hoops. If you *actually read the listing* you should be very happy with this purchase.

Works as intended, if a bit small. Note the sizes! These are small hoops compared to 'standard' sizes you see at most brick and mortar craft stores.The oblong hoop's outer part can get misshapen if you aren't careful. They're easy to fix though. Can be useful if you want to display a piece that's long instead of tall - you can readjust where the lop at the top is located.

These hoops were disappointing for me. One, I didn’t realize the largest hoop was the oval and I didn’t realize that none of these hoops are very big. I also thought this was a normal hoop where you can tighten the hold on the fabric with the metal hardware but these are just for decor on these. The wood part is just rubber that you stretch across a plastic round that goes under the fabric and attaches to the inside of the rubber round.
