By far, best shower chair
I've used and bought many shower chairs. This is by far the best and worth every penny. It's super comfortable, sturdy, and practical with easy lift-up arms and well-positioned foot plates. It also, however, looks great for a shower chair if you must have one. The design is minimal and non-bulky, so it doesn't visually overpower an open roll-in shower room.

Flawed design, deceptive return policy, poor customer support
We are trying to find a good shower/commode chair for the elderly, went through a few options before ordering this one (Shower Buddy Lite Shower Chair). Generally well made (solid frame, slimmer than most other shower chairs, comfortable seating). What made it unworkable for us were the wheels - cheap plastic, hard to roll, and most of all, attached to the frame at an angle, which makes it very hard to turn. Practically impossible to rotate the chair in a tight space (bathroom, shower).Surprisingly, the request for the return was denied ("Reason for the closure of your request: Health and Personal Care products (cholesterol monitors, glucose monitors, fragrances, thermometry, etc.) cannot be returned"). While the product description states "Return policy: Eligible for Return, Refund or Replacement within 30 days of receipt". Obviously outsourced customer support. One star for the quality of both product and customer service.

Mostly great chair
This chair was recommended by our OT at one of the best stroke rehab facilities in the world. It IS a great chair. Very expensive but mostly worth it. It is very lightweight and easier to lift than many of the industrial-like hospital chairs. But that can be detrimental as it is easier to scoot than I'd like when transferring my dad to it.The chair arms push back conveniently and the foot rests come off easily. The brakes are easy to set. The arm locks are sometimes hard to position so I find the arm popping up all the time when my dad grabs on it unexpectedly when I think it is locked. But I can get it to stay in place with effort. The chair is easy to clean. It is well made and I like the mesh back. The seat is a hard plastic and if my dad sits in it a long time it is uncomfortable. The chair is hard to steer sometimes and it rolls easily on a slight slope. I have to lift the chair over floor trim pieces because of the wheels and that might be hard for some people to do.The adjustable height is good and accommodates our add on bidet. The opening isn't as large as I'd like and my dad's butt cheeks get pinched down in it, making the poop get smushed and hard to clean. We haven't used the commode part so I can't comment on that, but the curved urinal cover piece can't be used with our setup because the urine would not flow down into the toilet, it would flow onto the seat and make a mess. All in all it is a good sturdy chair and mostly worth the money. It is the best chair we could find.

Chair is well built and worth the price.
I bought this chair to reduce the number of transitions for my wife. Before I received the chair I would transition her from her recliner to her wheelchair, take her to the bathroom and then transition her to the potty chair. Now I just transition her to the new chair and roll her to the bathroom. Mission complete. Really like and recommend the Buddy Lite.
