atp automotive Y-1318 Automatic Transmission Shifter Cable

2008 Chevy Trailblazer, 5.3 L.Console has to come out, carpet gets pulled back to access cable points. For mechanical types, not a big deal.For you that dabble, it's adjustable for crying out loud.Tried the Dorman bushings, but only lasted a couple of days. For some reason, the cable ends up with an odd twist to it which only only helps to disconnect. And the snap that you are supposed to feel when inserting the other half of the bushing ( the locking portion) is pretty lame....yeah, naw!For an emergency fix, you can zip tie the lever to the cable end...not tightly, but snug.I actually thought about keeping it zip tied and I will go back to that if the new cable doesn't keep up it's end of the batgain!!!I even installed a new lever on the tranny thinking the old one had worn. But results are still the same!All in all, not a tough repair, took all morning and part of the afternoon, but that included coffee breaks, lunch and cleaning of all plastic parts and vacuuming the whole area.

after waiting for some time finally i could use the car again

If this part went in just as easy as the old part came out And is working very well

even after i replace this one out for the bad one my gear shifter still wont go in low gaer unless i slam it in . and when its in drive it wont lock in and the dangrus . if some one accdently hit the shifter to the front . but ill use it . because i dont fill like changing it out .
