I got my kitchen table back!
As you can see from the picture, my kitchen table was overrun by our 1000 piece puzzle. I was able to put the puzzle on the felt board in the case moving a small section at a time, then I moved sorted pieces to the smaller trays and the rest I put back into the puzzle box to be sorted at a later date. I bought the JIGSORT 1500 because I read that American puzzles are slightly larger than British, and since this is a British case, to go a size up to be on the safe side. Good thing I did that as it left a few inches around the edges of the puzzle to work with. This is a very nice case for puzzles, but I'm not entirely happy with the smaller enclosed sorting boards, as once you put puzzle pieces on those boards, the cover is very hard to close. It's supposed to be able to slide shut, but I have to take the cover off and slightly bend it to put it back on. Otherwise it moves the pieces when you slide the tops to shut them. It's a great idea and cool thing to have, I just think there needs to be a better way to close the smaller boards.I decided to test out the case and carry it by the handle to and from the kitchen to see if the pieces stay in place, instead of walking with it flat on my hands. It kept the puzzle in place, which was impressive. The handle says TOP on it, so you know which way to lay the case to open it. We like that we can sit at the sofa with the puzzle board on our raised laps laying at an angle to work with, so it's easier on our necks. The felt on the board keeps everything in its place. The case does not fit under our sofa, much to our dismay, but we have a sofabed, and I think the bed part is lower than a regular sofa. So unless you have a sofa bed, this case should slide under a sofa nicely for storage. We keep ours on top of our stand up freezer, which is the perfect size. The box it arrived in was toast. I mean opened and shredded on multiple parts, especially the corners, which gave me a heartcheck at first. I took pictures of it, in case it was damaged inside and I'd need to return in. But, the case came with the corners protected by additional hard cardboard corner pieces, that protected the case from any damage. So I lucked out. This case does have some weight to it. I have a very bad back, and this case is at the limits of what I can carry and move around. I would buy this again and I do recommend this case over other cases out there, and over the roll-up puzzle mats. I have my kitchen table back!

Best puzzle sort snd storage system on the planet.
During winter my wife dies a lot of puzzles, I even join in for a few.Anyone who has ever tried to do a week long puzzle in a house with kids and pets knows how frustrating it can be. Even if you are lucky enough to have a table and a room to yourself. Keeping the pieces separated and safe is always a challenge and few things are as irritating as finishing a puzzle to find you have pieces missing! Its like when you think there is one more M&M left in the bag but your hand comes out empty. That X 10.This gizmo is you answer to all of that. We've tried several over the years and this one makes the others all look like mistakes.Construction is outstanding, its very sturdy and the zipper is well done.Zipping it can get a little tight on the corners, just don't force them, wiggle from side to side and you'll be fine. The sorting boards a great and hold 500 piece puzzles fine.Best of all, everything stays put when you pick it up. I've carried it vertically into another room after zipping it up and it all stayed put. This is because it closes tight when zipped up. (that's why those corners are tight)I still store it flat under a sofa so as not to temp fate, but you should be able to store it vertically as long as you don't drop it on the edge or fall down the stairs with it.This is great if you want to take your puzzle to a friend's house to puzzle together. They do make smaller models but if you aren't cramped for space get the big one. No body ever wished for a smaller work area.Yes I know it's expensive but trust me we wasted more money buying ones that did not work than we did on this.If you have a puzzler in your life this will be an excellent gift that they will use for years. Or treat yourself to it, you won't be disappointed. Better yet you could "accidently" leave this up on your husband or wife's computer screen so they get the hint and buy it for you.
