Works Well
It needed a little work to fit on my 1982 Yamaha 750 Maxim. It was worth the effort though. I don't use it for extended time periods, but only to give me a second to shake my hand out once in a while.

hated it !
I tried to install this on my 05 yamaha fjr as some of my comrads have done. It wouldnt work for me. First you have to cut some of it off to get it to fit on the bike (rndering it unreturnable). After the install my throttle would stick. There is just so much Im not willing to do to make this peice of trash work. Spend the money and buy a BREAK-AWAY !

Perfect after some messaging
The throttle lock is a nice piece and as with any universal product, needed a little messaging to work properly. It would not release the throttle completely when adjusted to hold tight. I trued up the bore of the clamp by wrapping some sandpaper around a socket and sanded. I also filed down the clamp where the lever cams over. I made sure that when unlocked it was straight and flat to allow maximum release. Without modification, when unlocked it was at an angle and did not fully release. The provided clips to hold the lock woold not work so I trimmed a piece of plastic and fastened it with the throttle hold bolts. It Looks bad with the orange plastic but thats all i had for now and I will change it out for black when i get some black plastic.

Works - sort of
I had high expectations for this device but it never quite lived up to them. It was fairly easy to install but the clear plastic "washer" is pretty flimsy and easily damaged. I have arthritis and was looking for a way to alleviate having to hold the throttle open on long rides of 3 hours or more. This device kinda works. It would hold the throttle open but would creep down fairly quickly so you are always fighting with it to maintain speed. I never could adjust it to the point that it worked consistently. I wanted it to work, it's small and unobtrusive. I waited a few years to actually post this review but could have done so a few months after purchase. I finally removed it a few weeks ago and replaced it with a Kurykan model that I have yet to actually use.

Vista Cruise throttle lock MCVICY-P
Purchased this and installed on a 2007 Honda ST1300. With minimal modification, it fits and works perfectly. Throttle/switch housings are too different on multiple makes and models for these to work out of the package in most cases, but slight trimming of the attachment ear usually will allow a nice fit.The image shown is not the actual item, this version has a slightly wider tab, the tab is shorter, and doesn't have a notch. The portion of the throttle lock that has the attachment tab is meant to be stationary after mounting, it can be glued, screwed, or otherwise affixed to the throttle housing. The other half of the semi-circle must be free-moving, as it provides the actual friction when the cam is engaged.Even when lock is engaged, you can manually override in an emergency, the secret is to tighten only enough to barely hold the throttle in position when you remove your hand. I mounted my thumblock lower (CCW) than typical, in about the 6 o'clock position so that my forefinger releases the lock underneath if I roll off the throttle while the lock is engaged. This placed the attachment tab (after light trimming) neatly into the notch between the two cable nuts in about the 2 o'clock position. The Vista Cruise is a simple, robust and inexpensive solution. When installed as I described, it is almost invisible when looking at the handlebar area.

Not impressed
I bought this product to put on a Burgman scooter. Compared to other products, seemed a good value. I am a motorcycle mech. and could not figure out how to install. It also said could install without removing the rubber grip. The instructions really sucked, no explanation at all on how to install. Don't waste your money on this product.

I got it for my Kawasaki zzr 1200 knowingly it doesn't fit.
It didn't fit my Kawasaki zzr 1200 but I knew that before I purchase it. On the other hand I already had experience with the product before. The material that it is made of is easy to work with so I was able to make it work with no problem. It works great.
