Fast like a Tesla, it outperforms the $2500 Midtronics testers we use in the big shops...
I don't leave many Amazon reviews. But this little guy deserves a LOT of praise:-Interface is very straight forward and easy to use.-Backlit display is clean and clear regardless of lighting-I'm able to take crystal clear photos of the results and text them to my customers, to alert them if their battery is on the fence or needs replacing-Printer works perfectly when you need a hard copy for the customer-Cost is incredible for how well this works-And the one item no one here has mentioned: SPEED!See my notes below for the speed portion. This thing is Tesla fast...I run a small auto repair shop I've had since 2013. I've wanted and needed a quality battery tester for YEARS, but it was always out of budget. Midtronics dominates this part of the auto tool market, but their equipment runs $500-2500.My grievance with the MT testers I have used in the last 10 years is speed: they are sloooooow. Very capable, but slow with each step, and they require you to take additional steps to enter a ton of unwanted data. The yield: the most basic battery test can take up 3-5 minutes on the Midtronics tools found in most big name shops. The ANCEL I found here will produce a solid, accurate battery test result in under 8 seconds. Gives me the voltage, also represents it as a % of charge, and a clear amp measurement of the CCA. If you just want to find out if your battery is good/bad, strong/weak or omniscience's the fence, this tool handles all of it.For a quality battery tester under $400, this is truly the best I've found. Hope this helps!

Just like the mechanic's unit
This looks just like the one our mechanic uses along with the nostalgic printout and everything. Throughout the years with all our vehicles the one thing or issue, along the lines of more relatively simple diagnostics, has been consistently charging or battery related. As we now delve into older project cars and whatnot, we thought it'd be worth our while just to invest in one of these so we can test and scan as needed. That and if you go to any place other than a mechanic you know well, especially the dealer, you'll get charged a hefty diagnostics fee just for them to do the same. For comparisons sake, we had our mechanic issues a scan and reading report of two of our batteries. We then tested those two same batteries with this unit and the analysis was near identical. We were also able to test cold cranking capabilities and with that further the diagnosis to determine where the fault derives from in both starting and generator charging systems. Using this is much easier as there is no need to disconnect the battery in order to get a reading. Bonus points for also us being able to use it on our gardening tools that use batteries which shouldn't be surprisingly since it's supposed to be able to analyze any 12v acid-lead and 24v starter changing systems including batteries such as regular flooded, agm flat plates, agm spirals, deep cycles, etc.The unit itself is lightweight yet feels rugged and worthy as additional to the toolbox collection. The screen, with backlit display, shows simple and easy to read information - it shows typically in about two seconds or so. The built-in printer is there should you feel the need to make your own printouts, and uses basically any standard size roll of thermal printer paper.
