Free running and no snags!
This is the best type of metallic thread I've used so far. It never snags in the machine and runs really well. It also looks great. I've just used it on a small picture with embroidered flowers, and it was so easy to use and looks wonderful. I didn't even have to change the machine tension. Just used it as though it was a normal thread.
