Great for Lekuchen!
So glad to find this here. The German family recipe handed down for generations called for this specifically and I was able to procure it in a timely manner thanks to Amazon. The bakers in our family have relied on Dr. Oetker for as long as I can remember.

Cheaper the RUM flavouring out there
To expensive for the same product as dr oetker rum. Only this one has caramel colour added to it.

Bar none, the most flavourful rum essence I've ever tried
For some reason, this particular rum essence has a stronger, more aromatic, and flavourful effect on baked goods (and rum balls) than any other I have tried (and I love to bake). I'm thrilled to see it on amazon.com. Until now, I've had to hunt it down in Romanian pastry shops whenever I travelled to New York or Chicago. Finally, I can order it online! I highly recommend it.

Not as good as Dr. Oetker rum in vials
I bought this rum brand in vials, and it was perfect! This time I thought I should get more for the money, but it smells more like alcohol than rum- this is why I do not use the one I can find at supermarket. I’ll stick to the vials from now on.

Good flavor
Good flavor, I will order it again! Gave my cake a beautiful aroma, without alcoholic taste from the real rum!

Indonesian brand is better
This rum flavoring is not as tasty as the Butterfly brand Rum essence that I bought in Indonesia. Dr. Oetker's Rum Essence is strong, but not as truly flavorful. The shipping cost on it was equal to the price of the little bottle. Not worth it, in my opinion.
