Build Quality Not Great
Let's be fair. For 50 watts per channel, this is pretty darn cheap. The problem is, that the actual unit I received was pretty cheaply put together. Just to be clear, mine DID come with a power supply. But, there was some issue where the power supply would not seat properly and so the left channel audio would not work unless I held the power cable in place and even then not all the time. When it did work, it was perfect, clean audio. But I can't be holding the power cable all the time, now can I? Once again, being fair, I will note that perhaps I just got one of a handful of bad units. I didn't feel like trying again. Instead I ended up ordering one of these: Dayton Audio DTA-100a Class-T Digital Amplifier 50 WPC (Black) Everything about it felt better put together. The packaging was better, it came with a number of adapters and...well...it worked.

It works well enough but.........
I bought this because I thought it would be cool to use it for my PC with my 2 JBL Control 1's. It does work but 2 x 50w ha! more like 2 x 5w. Obviously something this small was never going to produce 100w of true power but I did expect at least 15w out of it per channel. It is a cool little item to own but not really powerful enough to enjoy fully. Money is better spent on a budget 2.1 PC speaker system. It does have a very nice build quality and would be great I am sure for a hobbyist who has a specific need for an amp like this, not for me though.

Nice little amp but hit or miss on quality
I ordered one of these several months ago and it worked quit well. So I ordered a second one for another set of speakers. It showed up and was dead on arrival. So I was willing to try another one. It showed up and it was black, the first two where aluminum color, and it came without a power supply. There are no instructions for this amp and on the back it just says it takes 12 volts, nothing about current. Luckily I had plenty of power supplies lying around and got it working.

Kicks butt
This is a really nice little two channel ( stereo ) amp. Seriously my only problem is that it is too good... I can only turn it up to a little over quarter volume until it is too loud for my room.

power supply
Does this unit come with its own power supply? I will be needing applicafication for 2 exterior bose speakers soon and will not order unless full details are disclosed by Muse. any help or info is highly appreciated.thanksproduct review update 7-25-2012found a AC wattage transformer that suits this amp so i didnt have to shell out MORE money just to power the item. the max this Muse M50 amp can be pushed to is 50%. after that it will definitely clip. I know you get what you pay for but all tripath class D amps are around the same price give or take. there was one i saw for 210.00 $. way above and beyond what one should pay for this class of amp. All in all the only MAJOR complaint i have with this item and the seller is that a power source adapter/ cord should be provided when buying the item. if not it is useless upon arrival.conclusion>> check/ review all mini amps sold online and make the best decision for your specific application. this is for a small outside deck area so it fits the bill. dont go and power your home stereo with this thing is what im advising. check all the specs and fine print so you will be up and running when your product arrives.thanks to all amazon reviewers out there. : )AR.

Muse M50 Replaced my Main Receiver -- Excellent Sound in a Tiny Package
I've been showing friends my new office system which consists of music via an iTouch, movies on a new iMac, and two vintage KEF 104/2 floor speakers (about 75 pounds each, built in the late 80s or early 90s). This set-up produces a very rich, clear sonic experience. There is nothing negative to report. The bass produced by the Muse/KEF combination is amazing--no need for my subwoofer. The Muse cranks out powerful sound and watching movies on the iMac through this system is like being at the theatre. I also use the Muse M50 to power an alternate system in the same office consisting of a pair of ADS L400 speakers and the sound is rich and pleasing. The music ranges from second-wave British SKA to Rock to 80s and classical music. The Muse M50 brings music to life with tremendous clarity and power. I am surprised to read some of the negative reviews. If you use the Muse with quality speakers the listening experience will be rewarding and pleasant. For the money I can't find a better sounding little machine. Also, I've compared the Muse M50 to traditional receivers, home entertainment systems and other T-amps (including one with a subwoofer port), the Muse is my first choice. Try it.
