Out of the 5, 1 was DOA. During the benchmark using CrystalDiskMark, it could only finish the sequential read, not the sequential write. When contacted with this, the vendor offered a partial refund approximately equivalent to the cost of one USB stick.As for the performance, the average sequential read is 125MB/s with an average sequential write of 25MB/s. Read is speedy but the write is OK. The write is comparable to a Class 10 SD card.Another thing of note, the speed test could not be perform fully with the front panel on the PC, which is a bus power configuration. Using a powered USB hub, the speed test ran without issue. This implies the USB stick is drawing quick a fair amount of power when doing sustain operation.

I was quickly contacted by the seller and offered a full refund even though I had not pursed that option. While the USB sticks had not worked for my need, they did work as standard USB drives. So I am changing my review from 2 to 5 stars. Sellers that will stand behind their products need to be encouraged.I listen to audio-book and pod-casts during my commute. I thought these would be great, 2gig, one book per stick, different colors. Make it easier to keep track of. I have a number of USB sticks from different manufactures with none giving me a problem. These however refuse to be read by my CD player. It will try but then skips over it. I have reformatted both FAT & FAT32, makes no difference. Also tried to use them for Live linux USB boot disks (puppy linux, system restore, repair utilities). They will not allow a boot. Tried a number of different boot prep utilities (Rufus, dd, DiskImager), none work.I'm giving them 2 stars only because you can format them and copy files to them, but too many limitations to work for me.

Really? what should be a simple upgrade to increase storage on my Toshiba smart tv only got me an error message. the format failed , use a recommended USB drive. what could be simpler than popping in a usb drive? im sick of wasting time and money on crap that doesnt work , only 7 bucks but it s still money out of my pocket and time wasted

Nice size for keeping music categorized into different Flash Drives. Fav tunes can get buried on larger drives. This is formatted in the FAT system (thus only 4 star rating), so one must reformat to FAT32 before loading up mp3 music!

These USB's have been great for me. I have used the 8GB drives for delivering wedding films to clients for the last few years and they have worked well. I have ordered multiple sets of 5 and have had no issues with any so far. They come as the colors shown, except that the orange one is really red in real life (at least in my experience). I will be ordering more in the future!

I converted my kids' home movies from VHS and my own childhood movies (originally 8mm, converted to VHS) to digital files for easier storage and enjoying and SAFEKEEPING! Those VHS tapes were starting to degrade. I loaded up these drives to mail to my siblings and all worked great! I had purchased a couple of 32 gig drives from a different company which worked on start-up but with substantial use began showing all kinds of problems. This 64 gig is reliable so far and MUCH faster, maybe b/c USB 3.0 or a new laptop, not sure. Seems solid and swivel cap is better than loose plastic caps. Reserve the right to down grade or up grade!
