Very good LED light for most purposes.
Very bright and glad I'll be saving a ton over the upcoming years (compared to my CFLs even), assuming they last as long as advertised. The light is ever so slighly whiter and more uniform then light coming from incandescents or CFL, but that is obviously expected with LEDs.I have these currently on one of 3 outdoor garage lamps, and the front yard lamp post. In the lamp post, you can't really tell the light doesn't shine in all directions. In the outdoor garage lamp, when compared to the two lamps with CFLs nearby, you can tell the glow doesn't come all the way downward (maybe the last 45-60 degrees?). It doesn't pose a significant issue, but then again I haven't exchanged the other two lamps to see the full affect. There are a very few LEDs in this shape that have the LED along a filament which travels along the full axis of the bulb which I assume would do a much better job of mimicking light from a incandescent. These bulbs are hard to find, have limited reviews, and seem to be a bit more expensive so I haven't tried it out. I have temporarily tried these in my bathroom vanity mirror and do not notice any issue with light not illuminating everywhere, but I assume it is because the majority of the light is bouncing off the ceiling and lighting the room.UPDATE: I have noticed that every bulb I bought is now dead. After about one year I noticed 2 of the bulbs weren't working, and now 18 months after installing them, none are working. Pretty sad. The price has dropped almost in third since I bought them, but so have all LEDs. Just bought GE bulbs from the local store and will see how they work out. I got them on sale and they cost 21 for 6 and at least have a guarantee to last 5 years or money back.

If it doesn't work for you, read here
Edit: I discovered the reason why only 1 of 6 worked. The screw base has a shoulder on it that is very wide when compared to other bulbs. So when you screw the bulb all the way down the shoulder of the base touches the top of the socket and the tip of the base never makes contact with the bottom of the socket. There was a very slight variance in the length of the bulb's base and this caused only 1 of them to work in my chandelier. I would suspect this is the reason other people are complaining about the bulbs not working. I've changed my review to 4 from 1 star. I'm not sure if my sockets are too deep or if the bulb bases are too short.Pros:Nice bright 40 watt equivalent lightCons:About an inch longer than my current incandescent candelabra bulbs

This is almost as bad (or worse
Tired of CFL bulbs burning out in my chandelier, got these a year ago, - light was decent, looks warm white at bulb, though reflected light on walls is a bit cooler when seeing compared to other CFL-lit walls eg in kitchen. However, I've now had several of them die on me, within a year. This is almost as bad (or worse?) than my CFLs, and defeats the purpose. The amazon photo doesn't match the product- these have a metal fluted heatsink base, which I was happier to see a heatsink to cool them,vs a white plastic base which might not cool the bulb as much, but... I guess doesn't work if they die on me...

Bright, efficient, reliable
If you're used to compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, like I've been using for the past 20 years, LED bulbs are a huge breath of fresh air. Compared to CFLs, LEDs do not suffer from delayed start, delay in coming to full brightness, humming, flickering, and dimming problems. This particular LED bulb is fast, no delay, no hum, and no flickering. I do not have a dimmer on my candelabra light fixtures, and these particular bulbs are not dimmable. Some very big pluses:• Bright, warm light• Very fast to come on• Goes to full brightness nearly instantaneouslyI bought 3 packs of 6 to replace all sorts of CFL bulbs I've accumulated over the years, all with very different light outputs and problems all their own. The difference is very dramatic. The lights come on instantly, there's no more hum, and I don't have to sit in a room with a dull, purple glow for 1-2 minutes to give the bulbs time to "warm up" as the CFLs had to. The light output of these LED bulbs is bright. It livened my mood right away. I was able to banish the Prince of Insufficient Light right away.

they work perfectly fine. However
When first installed, they work perfectly fine. However, of the 18 that I've purchased, 7 have already failed in less than a year. In all cases, they began to flicker after first being turned on, then eventually stopped turning on at all. I do not recommend using them! Tearing open one of them gave me low confidence in their design as well, which I'll dive into next. The circuit will seem familiar enough to most electrical engineers: rectify the AC power, filter it, and chop the resulting DC with a PWM circuit. However, in a race to the bottom of cost, the driver IC is a small 3-pin device that chops its own supply voltage to work. That's not the concerning part. What concerns me is that it works by switching on until twice the desired current is running through the inductor and LEDs, then switching off until that current returns to zero. That means that, while the average current is within nominal value, the maximum current can be twice the rated nominal for the LEDs! Given that, it's no wonder these bulbs are failing earlier. Possible quality control issues aside (many LEDs had blemishes on the die), I think the circuit design itself is flawed. I will go with a more reputable brand in the future, where I'm more confident that they designed their power supply correctly.

NOT "Warm White", but good
These are definitely NOT the "2700-3000K", warm white color temperature advertised. They are much bluer or whiter than that. There is nothing definitive on the packaging to indicate the color temperature of the bulb inside. The bulbs themselves are marked "2700-3000K 5W AC 100-240V" . These are plenty bright and give a nice even light. The description was a bit unclear on the size. Mine measured 4 1/4" long overall, including the base, and 1 9/16" in diameter. See photo. They fit fine in my fan and chandelier. Five stars if you don't mind the color temperature.
