Injen Technology X-1033BLU Blue Hydro-Shield Pre-Filter

This is actually my second/third Injen pre-filter. My first one was only able to handle so much of our Chicago winters, so I decided to pick up two more and swap them out every so often to increase their lifespan. Although Injen's website no longer sells the blue pre-filter, I'm quite elated that Amazon and O'Donnell's Auto Parts still had a ready supply and shipping was super fast (less than 3 days).These pre-filters are great because they filter all debris up to 0.005", which helps keep your filter clean and reduce the number of times you'd have to wash your actual air filter. Washing the pre-filter is a breeze; You just slip it off, rinse it down, and let it air dry. That's it!An absolute must have if you have an exposed filter, like those found at the end of a crazy cold air intake system. Definitely makes life much easier.

I bought this hydroshield because I'm using the Injen dry intake cone filter. They require no oil, but may let fine dust particles through because of this. I live in Maine where it's snowing or raining most of the year and the hydroshield keeps water and dust away from my cone filter and intake. I've had the pre-filter on for about 3 months now and took it off to clean it the other day (I used low pressure shop air). The cone filter underneath looked like it did when I took it new out of packaging while the pre-filter had a good amount of dust and dirt particles in it, so I'd say it's doing its job.

I own a 05 WRX STI and recently installed an Injen Intercooler and had to replace my APS one with the injen one for clearance issues. I ordered this pre filter so accidental splashes and dirt wouldn't get my filter as dirty so fast.I like this product it keeps my filter clean and oil and water puddle on it for easy wipe off which is a big plus if you are under the hood as much as i am. Easy install and cheap price make it attractive too.

I bought this after my first Injen Nano-Fiber dry air filter, I wish I would have made the purchase earlier. I found so many bugs and ton of road particles in the portion of the filter closest to the air ram, once that stuff gets down in the cracks it's near impossible to get out. The hydro shield adds a layer of protection that is absolutely necessary.

Bought this cause i wanted some extra protection and my intake was not available in blue. 2 birds. One stone. Just buy it

Not bad, works great still scared to drive my car when it's raining.

Perfect fit for my Injen SP2090P. Now I don't worry about fine micron dust invading my engine. I sure it will clean easily when the time comes
