Dekart New (2019) SIM Card Reader and Writer with Powerful SIM Card Management Software for Windows (32/ 64bit) XP/Vista/ 7/8/10 (Micro & Nano SIM Adapters Included)

My motivation for purchasing this SIM reader was because I needed to unlock an unknown PIN number for my SIM card. Since I had no other device (old phone, etc) that would take the SIM in question, I purchased this Dekart. There is no instructions included with the shipment, so you must rely on the factory web site for downloading manuals, software and etc. Being a total novice, I had a few questions and the factory answered them quickly. I rate their customer service as excellent. The reader itself is well built.... the SIM slot holds the SIM perfectly so there could be problems in that area. Although I only performed a small, simple task on my SIM, exploring the other features offered via the software, I've no doubt you could perform any task that is offered with little effort.

Was risk jumping into this type of category of technology with a lack of information on the web and a share of mixed reviews. Turns out that I did good out of desperation. Product is easy to figure out and the program looks straight forward and simple. No problems with compatibility and functionality. It is quite interesting to see what's physically stored on all my SIM cards that trace back to 2001 or so.

I bought a spare mobile hotspot that was the same model as my original and I swapped my sim card over to it to test the hotspot. Unfortunately the spare hotspot did not access the carriers network because the sim card was securely locked to the first hotspot. With the Delkart sim card reader I was able to change the pin# on the Sim Card with some basic tech forum information plus the downloaded Delkart Management Software and manual. Now the Sim Card is working with my spare hotspot as well as my original hotspot. Now I won't need to return the new hotspot to the seller during the 30 day return period. When I emailed Delkart support for the software registration key number, response was good. Thank you for this valuable tool, the Delkart Sim Card Reader, 2019.

Got the dekart sim card reader today. I wanted to read a sim card from my wife's Samsung S5 that had gone on the blink to try to retrieve her contacts and messages but according to the help file, the version of the software that Amazon buyers get is a simple one with very limited functions. I've been trying to read the sim for quite a while and nothing. I agree with the person that said the whole thing is very flimsy and it's difficult for a micro sim cars not to slip out of the frame while it's being inserted in the reader. Tis is going back. Not recommended!

Product arrived as expected. SIM card frames are designed to position the card over the appropriate contacts. The cards are flimsy and extremely difficult to work with, specifically when attempting to ensure adequate retention when attempting to slide the card, the frame and the receiver together. IMO, poorly designed. Once positioned appropriately, the device appeared on the software screen but SIM card was not recognized. After more work, I determined I could get the card to read by squeezing the flimsy affair together. I attempted to contact Support, however the listed phone number was not valid. I sent an email to Support, however, after 24hrs have head nada.

I wanted to move a SIM card to a different hotspot device and needed to reset the PIN using the PUK code, but neither device would let me change the PIN. I was stuck until someone recommended this device. I got it and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. Software is intuitive and easy to use. The product does just what it advertises; these days that can be a real plus. If you need to work on SIM cards, this is an elegant solution.
