AISIN GENUINE THT-017 Engine Coolant Thermostat with Housing - Compatible with Select Lexus CT200h Toyota Corolla, Prius, Prius AWD-e, Prius Plug-In, Prius Prime, Prius V

Replacing this thermostat housing (which has a thermostat inside), along with a new AISIN water pump, solved my overheating problem in my Prius V. This is an AISIN brand which--to let folks in on a possible secret--is the same item sold by a Toyota dealer parts department. They just grind off any Toyota branding information. Hence, this is a very reliable product. It's great to not have to worry about overheating my Prius V when I drive it. Had I not monitored the temperature before I installed this thermostat, I could have toasted my engine. I am very pleased with this product.

If you’re doing the water pump, this thermostat is a no-brainer. It’s right there during the repair, so skipping it makes no sense. This is an Aisin part and the quality is exactly what you’d expect—OEM fit, correct housing, and everything seals up properly. Installed easily with no leaks and the engine warms up and regulates temperature exactly as it should. Do it once, do it right. Add this while you’re in there and save yourself from having to go back in later. Highly recommended.

Worked perfectly for a Prius. Once you are replacing the water pump - it is right there and easy to replace.

Works great. My car was normal operating temperature 200 F and after I installed the thermostat now getting 185 F. Replace your thermostat and at least the rotor on your water pump if your car occasionally overheats. Good quality. Like oem quality.

Fit and worked perfect with my 2011 Prius, no more over temperature. One mention i couple this with Nipondenso thermostat.

Absolutely horrible experience. Have been waiting for the product for over 2 weeks when writing this review. No updates from seller. Not able to cancel. Sad. Don't go with a marginally cheaper non-OEM part for this. Bit of a pain to remove the lower hose clamp, might want to consider buying a remote/flexible hose clamp tool and a set of plastic hose clamps for that part. Good luck!

Installed it at 223,000km and now I'm at 244,000km and no complaints. It's the same brand from the dealer just without it saying Toyota and costing double. Edit: now at 250,000km and still going strong.
