What can I say....happy wife, happy life.

I really want to love these, but....like other reviewers have said, the coloring is inconsistent, the stain on the turner is a mess (see pic), all of them are slightly different color, and the ladle has a significant chip out of it. There’s clearly some quality control issues at the shop. As most others have said, the slotted spoon isn’t a match to this set. In fact, I use the word set loosely....they look like I found each one separately at the thrift store to make a set. This would be a wonderful set if they were all like the spoon! Or perhaps if you want a truly vintage used look. I don’t! I bought these primarily to look nice on the counter, and I’m afraid they just don’t. Also, the wood is much darker than I expected, even in the pics I’ve shared, they look lighter than they actually are. Now the pros. I’ve used the slotted spatula and spoon, and I really like them. The spoon isn’t as large as I’m used to, but that was ok and it was great for stir fry and for stirring pasta. It cleaned very easily after stirring melted cheddar sauce and that’s a huge plus because cleaning cheese off spoons is usually awful! The spatula is great and even fit nicely under to flip eggs. And truly no worries on non-stick cookware. So, if all you’re after is function, I do recommend this set (minus the chipped ladle). But, if you want a wood set for the look, pass these by. I would like to add, many reviews have mentioned the white powdery film these came with....ya, that’s the oil rub used to preserve them. It is stated in the description, it washes off simply, and you definitely want your wooden utensils to have this, and even reapply every year! I really don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, and so rarely do, but this set had such high reviews overall, I feel some balance is in order. I am very disappointed in the quality of the aesthetic and, of course, in the chipped ladle.

Update: The seller was kind enough to send a replacement for free. Really appreciate the quick turnaround. The new set had a better ladle and now I finally have a good set of wooden utensils! The best about this set is that it has no splinters! My wife is loving it!I really liked 5 out of the 6 wooden cooking utensils that I ordered from you on Amazon, but the 10.5-inch ladle has some visible scratches and feels rough inside and there's a tiny area where the wood is chipped. Tried contacting the seller about this but haven't received any reply.

The utensils are very nice. We have had them for a couple of weeks and are using them a lot - with no problems. When the package arrived there was a chip in the ladle. The package came with a business card from the business owner. I emailed and got a response within a day and they sent a whole new set to me. New set was perfect. We use the regular flat spatulas the most, and the little round one is great for flipping pancakes. Excellent customer suervice and product!

This set is well made and seems as though it should be durable. I like it better than plastic or nylon. Good assortment and range of utensils. I think they are attractive in the fired clay pitcher on the counter - ready to use at anytime and part of a bachelor's decor. Last thought: I really enjoy using them and they are easy to clean after use.

I bought this set to try and reduce the use of plastics in my kitchen. I am very pleasedw ith them so far. They are well made, sturdy and I love the variety of them. One of the main reasons I went with these in particular is they are made in the USA. Hard to find these days.

When I received the utensils, it was odd that five of the utensils came packaged together, while the sixth (the strainer spoon) was packaged separately. If you look closely at the image, you may notice that the finish on the strainer spoon (far left) is deeper and shinier than the others. I didn't notice--until I received them...and the separately packaged strainer spoon obviously had a better finish--the other five were very dull and even had a powder residue (that I washed off hoping the finish would be similar to the strainer spoon...but that didn't happen).A bit concerned about the quality of the finish on the five utensils, am considering applying a lacquer to get the finish to match the strainer, and also hopefully protecting the wood a bit better in the process. My issue: I shouldn't have to do that, and thus the average rating.

I'm alarmed at how bad the teflon and other utensils are for our health, so these are part of my efforts to minimize health problems. Plus, they are very pretty and I love the touch. On the usage side, they have held up very nicely with what I've used them for so far. I still have a wooden spoon that my grandmother used (it's probably 80+ years old) and although I won't be around long enough to know if these will last that long, they are making a good start.

I was excited to replace my plastic with these based on the amazing reviews of their function and beauty. Unfortunately mine have splinters, especially in the holes in the handle meant for hanging. Also, the laddle came bagged alone in the box, doesn't match the others and is much better quality. Was hoping for a matching set but that's not what I received.

These are really beautiful tools. I got them initially thinking about my cast iron pan, I didnt want to use my other metal spatula incase I might scratch it. These came in and are even prettier than I expected. I will be sure to wash them by hand and oil them so they can last for many years to come! Thank you for offering a beautiful product at an accessible price.

I am very please with the quality of this product, it is study and will last forever. The color is pretty, there is no chemical smell to it...I cant wait to try them.

I thought these would have been a little more weighted. Over all, they're beautifully crafted and exactly what I'm looking for. Mine didn't come splintered but there were tiny areas on some of the utensils that were a little rough. This did not bother me, as I got the hubbs to sand them down for me to remove any rough imperfections.

Bought for the girlfriend and she has been using them for a couple months. They have held up well, the flippers are strong enough to scrape with and I would even consider buying myself a set if I needed some. Hopefully they last for many years.
