Pelonis NT20-12D Ceramic Safety Heater

Overall: I bought this heater because when i get off work at midnight, there is a chill in my room that kept me up shivering. I didn't wanna heat the entire house, just my room and this beauty did the trick.Pros: This heater is strong and warm and can really heat up a room. It is a great deal and a nice size for a bathroom, bedroom, or office.Cons: It doesn't bother me, but the heater does make some white noise. I like it, but it may bother others.Bottom Line: I'd definitely buy this heater again and recommend it to a friend.

I live in Florida, so we don't have a long winter by any means. Since most of our cold spells only last 2-3 days at a time, my family avoids turning on the central heat. The only time this causes discomfort is at shower-time. Something about being cold, naked, and wet--all at the same time--is downright unpleasant. So we would heat the whole house just around shower time, and it never really got warm because the heater was trying to chase the chill out of the whole house rather than focusing the heat on the area we were interested in heating.ENTER SPACE HEATERNow, I can avoid heating the entire house just to have a warm bathroom. I have this bad boy sitting on the counter, directed towards the shower. My bathroom is about 8' by 15' with vaulted ceilings and the space heater will heat the entire space. When I start my morning hygienic routine, I turn on this space heater (low), start the shower, brush my teeth, comb my hair, and enter shower. By the time I finish my shower (usually 5-7 minutes), the entire room is pleasantly warm. I will get dressed and then unplug the space heater before braiding my hair, situating jewelry and other accessories, etc. On an especially frigid morning, I might leave the heater on while I finish getting ready...but this is my first season with the space heater and our "frigid" mornings don't hit until late January/early February.

Great little heater. Energy efficient. I tried a different product, not sure why, it said it was energy efficient but was an energy guzzler. I cannot even use it it costs so much. Could have just been the electrical wiring in the apartment??? This one may be now off the market. Eventually the heat made the metal cave in until the fan rubbed against the frame but I used it until it stopped working. Did not cause any sparks, power surges, or any concern for worries. The frame is plastic, the fan is probably also plastic. It just made a light clicking sound; it was not strong enough to impede the function of the fan, until it did because I used it all the time, every day, hours upon hours. I loved it. Smarter now, it probably should have been replaced sooner. It is energy efficient. I miss having it so close to me as I sit along my day. A very nice comfort to have. Don't let it burn your skin, but it is very therapeutic to warm your skin at a certain distance as well. Pelonis you can improve upon this product. Bring this one back. Thank you.

This heater puts out more than enough heat, and quickly, for my medium-sized bathroom. The thermostat works really well; although it doesn't have actual numbers you can easily figure out your preferred setting. Four stars instead of 5, because, even on low, it is loud. It would definitely be too loud for an office cubicle, and would only work in a bedroom overnight if you like white noise and don't mind the noise going on and off. For a bathroom, it's just fine. I have an old model, small, square pelonis heater that is very quiet, so I don't know why this one needs to be so noisy. It's very stable on the floor, as it's got a solid base that's bottom-heavy. When I tilt it over, it does NOT shut off. It does state that it has an automatic shutoff for overheating. I haven't had it long enough to comment on energy efficiency, although the box touts efficiency as one of its features.

A nice compact heater. Works well.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is difficult to pick up one handed. The rounded front gives no grip so the thumb can keep your fingers in the handle hole on back. There is also no lip on the handle hole so if your thumb slips, the heater falls. A rough surface for the thumb grip or a lip on the handle hole would make this much safer to pick up.Now I either use two hands or position myself to catch it if it slips. Annoying.

I live in an old house that doesn't have a heater. I bought this for my bedroom, which is about 10x12 feet. I turn it on when I get home and by the time I'm done putting things away from my day, my room is significantly warmer than the rest of my house.I usually have it on for 2-3 hours before bed and then turn it off when I go to sleep because there's no auto-off function and if it stays on too long, my room will get too hot. I will turn it on in the morning when I wake up, then after I shower and get ready, my room is warm while I get dressed. I wish there was a remote control or auto option so I didn't need to get out of bed to turn it on and off.There is a switch for temperature but it feels like it only changes at the halfway point. It's like a cool-ish/warm and a warmer/hot. There is also a low/high setting for output, but it sounds the same and feels the same to me. So essentially, not much temp control but if you just need a small, no-frills space heater for a small room, this is a good option. I like the white noise it produces but some people may find it to be too loud.

The fan in this unit is very loud. Auto shuts off when desired temperature reached. Keeps our en-suite bathroom nice and warm in winter
