Was skeptical at first, but well worth the money!
I was skeptical at first with getting my first mechanical keyboard as I wasn't too sure if I'd like the experience, but boy am I glad I did! The Das Keyboard seems to be well built and has some good weight to it making it feel worth the money and like a true mechanical keyboard. The cherry MX Blue switches are amazing and I love the clicky feedback you get, this has definitely improved my typing speed and its just made my setup more professional. I like the glossy look to the keyboard although it can gather dust and prints easily however it is easily cleaned. I was a bit disappointed by the mac only keys as they had to be used with the fn combination however this was easily changeable by using a 3rd party key binder software. I'm going to be purchasing another one soon for my other computer and I look forward to customising a few of my keys too.

Greatest keyboard
that I have ever bought for typing. The action is very good, I can comfortably type for hours and hours (which I generally do) without any strain at all. The noise that this thing produces when you type is also much more gratifying than I had imagined too, it makes the whole experience very nice. It's really accurate too, I have a very decent IBM membrane keyboard at work and the Das is far more fun to use.I also do a fair amount of gaming this keyboard is good for that job too, I think perhaps it's better suited to typing than gaming due to a couple of things, the first being that finding an individual key can be tricky in gaming situations and even though it's easy to type on you still would find some level of difficulty with, say, an RTS game where you need to press the "L" key which is surrounded by blank keys, secondly the keys study and I did notice after a couple of hours of Quake Live yesterday that I had a bit of fatigue in my left hand. I think the second point will probably get better over time as I am more used to it, but it's definitely worth mentioning.Overall very happy with this purchase.

Nice keybord, it's only that
The keyboard is really great!!! The mechanical keyboard feels good. But the only problem is that it uses 2 USB portals, and that's too much for a laptop

This is my first ever mechanical keyboard and probably will be the last since it wont be any reason to change it or buy another one!.The feeling is superb the quality is fantastic your fingers will truly love it and yes u will type faster and be less error-prone.As for the sound its not so bad as u may think ,my wife did not complain :)If u think that the price is high consider all the money u spend for crappy keyboards so far.Das keyboard is a must!

Good mechnical keyboard but disapointed by case finish.
The media could not be loaded. This is the first mechanical keyboard I purchase.I am satisfied with the feel you get when you type. This is the most important thing.I was a litttle disapointed by the finish of the product:The casing of the keyboard does not fit well at the back, which means that if you apply your finger on the back of the keyboard it budges and makes a noise indicating it does not fit well, as if the two casing parts have been forced.Given the price of the keyboard I would have hoped that this defect, which I assume is only present on the one sent to me, would have been picked up. I have attached a video to illustrate the annoying thing. That was disapointing. That said, it's a good keyboard.

A solid (noisy) keyboard that is great to type on.
It's solid, noisy, reliable. What's not to like?If an elephant could touch type, this would be their keyboard of choice. It makes a perfect accompaniment to a Mac, assuming you're a typist that likes big, chunky solid keyboards with a design aesthetic that is industrial, rather than Apple chic.I wouldn't type without it.But be aware, if gentle solitude is your thing, then this is not the keyboard for you.

ClickKeyboard
Best clicking keyboard in the world, like the old IBM keyboards in the 80's only lighter (less metal?).

Loved this KB but my girlfriend knocked a flute of Kir Royale (with champaign) over onto it and it wrecked it. Sticky keys forever. Tried to fix it but failed. Had it for less than a year. Broke my heart. I did say, don't knock it over and all I got was the "do I look like I'm going to knock it over?" ...left the room for a minute and came back to panicked mopping with a towel. Yes, yes, you did.
