Best purchase for baby #2!
I have a 13 month old and a 3 month old so I’ve spent quite some time figuring out how to get my babes to sleep through the night. With my first we swaddled with regular blankets but she would always bust out of them within an hour and then her startle reflex would go into overdrive. Nobody got any sleep. We invested (big $$$, btw), in a Dock a Tot, which didn’t prove to be helpful to her. We ended up just holding her right every night until she fell asleep and praying for the best - and we transitioned to her crib quite early so that we could get some sleep and she could learn to self soothe. 13 months later we still have to hold her for 30-45 minutes before she falls asleep.Fast forward to baby #2. A friend told me about the Woombie but I kind of shrugged it off and never got around to ordering one. Because I had a gift card and was quite sleep deprived because my newborn was having trouble staying swaddled too, I ordered it on a whim at 4am one morning. This is the BEST purchase and definitely our favorite baby product hands down. The material is stretchy but not too loose so it holds baby’s hands/arms securely but still allows some movability. Zipper is very convenient for night time changing (there is a zipper on the bottom and top so you don’t have to undo the whole thing). Fabric is top notch and the design is cute to boot.We use this in conjunction with our Dock a Tot and I think we’ve successfully trained my newborn to fall asleep on her own with the woombie. She loves the security of it and we love being able to sleep through the night!!We currently have one and when she gets it dirty I wash it the same day. I’m purchasing a new one today because we love it so much we need back ups.Mom of two under two and I can confirm that this is a GOOD purchase decision.

Runs small
The only reason I'm giving it one star is because my baby weighed less than 8lbs and it was too small for her. I know it should be snug but not tight.

Good swaddle for little ones
My baby used this from time to time from 3 weeks to 8 weeks. It would calm her instantly, but when she would wake up she would scream because she didn't like being swaddled to begin with. She was able to move her hands around and even got them out a bit so she could suck on them. We stopped using it at 8 weeks because she needed her hands to self-soothe. I think it's a great swaddle, especially because she hated the miracle blanket, which my 1st daughter loved.

Just not for us
I was really excited to try this since our newborn loves to be swaddled and sometimes trying to swaddle her in the middle of the night results in a less than tight swaddle that she'll wiggle out of. This was really cute and I liked the materials - it was soft and surprisingly stretchy. Unfortunately, she could get her arms out of the top and the snap section flipped up over her face so I had to return it. I wish we had kept it to try out now that she's bigger because I really did like it and I was excited for the convenience of this. We bought it when she was about a month old and she was about 6 lbs at the time, and she's a skinny kid, so maybe it was just her.

Great Swaddle
This is a great swaddle: easy to get on and off and has a two way zipper which allows for nighttime diaper changes without having to remove the swaddle. However, initially with our 6lb, 18" newborn, it was quite big and would creep up around her neck which always concerned me. Now that she is a bit larger, it fits great and doesn't ride up.

One Star
It's so skin tight but any appeared to suffocate in it

The concept behind this is great. It's so much easier than trying to manipulate a swaddle. I loved the fact that there are two zippers. It made it so nice when having to change a diaper in the middle of the night that I didn't have to completely undo a swaddle. Unfortunately I learned that my baby does not like to have her arms contained in this or any other swaddle so this product did not work for us. For babies that love to be swaddled this would be great!

Nice but not for everyone
Nicely made product in a cute pattern. My daughter hated to be swaddled so I thought this would help as she could still move her arms a bit. She hated it as well. she would fight to get her hands up through the neck hole and become mad that she could not suck on them. We only used for about a month before she outgrew it and ended up taking it off of her most nights as she would wake up screaming and could not self-soothe with this on. We gave it a shot but was not for her.
