Rhode Island Novelty Magic Growing Animal Capsules

My nephew loooves these! Grandma wasn’t as impressed because they were so little.

This is great for a class gift or to put with your kids friend's birthday presents each time you go to a birthday party. You get 12 cards and there are 12 capsules per card. That's a lot for a great price! You can even take them out of the package and put them in Easter eggs or favor bags.

I saw the reviews and took the risk, because my daughter loves these things in her nightly bath. She loves the anticipation of what they will be. I only got 1 package and wasn't very surprised. I decided to call Amazon in hopes of not only a refund, but that they could fix this problem. They said they would notify the distributor, and refunded 11/12 of the price I paid. It sure would be nice to buy these capsules in bulk though from a reliable distributor.

I purchased these as a fond memory of my childhood that I wanted to share with my daughter. I was very disappointed to receive only 12 capsules. The item description states it is for 144 (12 packages of 12). Amazon was able to refund me the difference but I really wanted to buy the 144 capsules.

My 3-year old really enjoyed watching these toys unfold. The 1-year old put them in his mouth. I bought them as an easy way to have bath toys while traveling and for that purpose I think they are perfect. I only wish that amazon sellers carried more varieties such as dinosaurs or other types of animals. If you buy the gross pack from Rhode Island Novelty, you pay dirt cheap prices.

after buying these online my wife informed me that I could get the same thing at the dollar store. Anyway, the kids enjoyed them. I found that on about half these the plastic capsule would not dissolve all the way, even in warm water. What we finally ended up doing was removing the plastic capsule first, then throwing the foam in the water to watch it expand. Still fun and saved us waiting 5 minutes for each of them to dissolve (or not in some cases).

The capsules were exactly what I expected, but the quantity was wrong. The ad is intentionally misleading when it says that you are ordering 12 cards. This listing only comes with one card (12 capsules). The seller acted surprised when I pointed out this inaccuracy in the listing, but you can see from the previous reviews that the seller has been aware of the issue for years and has not fixed the listing. In fairness, the seller did honour my request to refund 11/12th odd the price. That allowed me to change my review from one star to two.

These are super entertaining and I highly suggest! If you have kids and you don't know how to keep them entertained, then go ahead and buy these! I have never had an issue with them malfunctioning!
