No More Burnt Grass Stains!
I've been using "Green Grass" since the beginning of summer on my 33lb & 80lb male dogs and it works great! We've spent a lot of money on our lawn to keep it looking a lush green and I am thankful for finding this product. When my parents dog stays over at our place for the weekend we notice spots where he has pee'd and it's nice to know that it really works for our dogs. I'd highly recommended this product to anyone that really cares about how their lawn looks. Also, it's half the price here on Amazon then it is at Petco. Great buy..thanks Amazon:)

Almost works
We've been using the tablets for a couple of months now on our 100lb mastiff puppy (male) because we noticed he was making some burn marks. We started with the recommended 10 per day for a few weeks and then reduced it to five. He loves these so much that we use them as treats so giving that many per day is no big deal. Our backyard is sectioned off into brand new sod, which is why we got these, and a weeded area for him to go. We figured we'd test the weeded area first before letting him on the sod. We've noticed the weeded area has burned out where he goes. Although it's not as severe as it was before the tablets, it's still not perfect. On another note, there have been no side effects taking the tablets, which was important to us as some other reviews noted that there were. I guess every dog is different. Until we notice significant improvement, we'll just keep him sectioned off and only let him roll around on the lush grass as a treat after he goes.

Not sure yet, but it appears to be working!
My 6 month old GSD female has done a number on the grass at my current rental. I have used Green Grass tablets for 2.5 weeks now and as far as I can tell, there are no new burn marks on the grass. I have seen no side effects with her either. Her coat is still shiny and her breath is still just as dogish as before.UPDATE: 1/13/11My dogs hair started falling out shortly after writing the above review. You couldn't touch her with out an handful of hair coming out on your hands! If it was July or August I wouldn't have been concerned but this was December! She also developed a huge sty on her right eye and she lost her eye lashes! I stopped this product immediately and within a week she stopped shedding and the sty was gone. Her eyelashes are starting to come back in.

My dog can Flood!
I have a Great Dane that can Flood my backyard in one squatting! My yard started getting burn spots shortly after I got my dog and had heard of urine neutralizers. I did some research and decided to try the Nutri-Vet Green Grass. These work great after the second week my grass began to turn green again. The only downfall is that given my dogs weight 160lbs he takes 6 tablets each feeding. So the tablets go fast since he eats about 3 times a day. I would like to see these in 500 to 1000 count containers. This product is worth it. My dog eats them up without even noticing they are mixed with his food, and once again I have green grass.

this item did not work for me...
I have two dogs and bought the grass guard in hopes that it would prevent my grass from turning yellow and dying.after following the directions and the recommend dose for my dogs' weight, I still have found NEW spots in my yard. if there is a positive side, the number of spots have decreased since giving my dogs the treats.

Works for us!
I did not have much faith in this product. I was surprised to find it works really well!I have two Siberian huskies and a chihuahua, and we just moved to a new rental home 3 months ago. Immediately the dogs started killing the grass in big yellow patches wherever they peed.I got Grass Guard and put it in their food twice a day, and repaired their existing damage. After 2.5 months I was surprised to realize there have been no NEW yellow spots!I would give this 5 stars, except that the Huskies do not like the pills. I have to crush them up and mix it with their food and Vita Gravy. The little dog loves them and just chomps them down. (Though, she's like that with EVERYTHING!)This would be a perfect product if it was more of a meaty soft-chew or something, and I think the dogs would love it.BUT, the important thing is that it works!

So Far, So Good, Great Taste!
My doggies absolutely love the taste of the tablets. They prefer them to the "treats." Both my pups have sensitive stomachs, so I was a little hesitant to feed them something new like this, but its completely fine, no trouble at all. The tablets seem to be working. There are just a couple of places in our yard that are still green, thanks to this intense heat, and as dogs usually do...they go right for the greenest spots to do their business...The tablets seem to keep the grass, green and I haven't had any issues with lawn burn so far.

How big is your dog??
Ok, so my poor DH, crying over his dead, yellow lawn prompted me to buy this product.I thought only FEMALE dogs killed grass?? Um, no. Males too, apparantly. So, after researching, found this product. It better work.I'm giving my poor GSDs EIGHT tablets EACH, PER DAY!!!!Yes. You read that correctly. EIGHT, EACH, DAILY.The recommended dose is TWO pills for each 20lbs of dog, daily for the first 4wks, and then you can decrease to ONE pill for each 20lbs after that on a daily basis to keep your lawn lush and green. So, between the two of them, this bottle of 365 pills will only last 3 weeks. It recommends dividing the dose (yeah, no kidding!!) and not giving it on an empty stomach.Thankfully, our GSDs are good pill takers, if yours are not, getting 8 pills down their gullet may prove to be a bit of a challange. My DH has re-seeded and is watering like crazy (what drought???!) in attempt to save his lawn.We shall see.
