Great product, easy to apply, looks fab
Delivered fast, packaged well. I used it on wooden sleepers and it went on really easily and quickly with a roller. The smell isn’t too strong, I actually quite like it! I got the light brown shade and have attached a photo of the different between the bare sleepers and the wood stained sleepers. It makes the sleepers slightly darker but also makes them look more expensive (I think so anyway) as the stain give them more of an oak appearance.

fast delivery
This is an excellent product , it looks darker on application but once dry it settles down to a much lighter shade, it has a strong smell but not offensive and its outside so soon disappears. I will be using this again and I would highly recommend.

Very good product - happy with purchase for protecting sleepers in garden
Nice coating although a little darker than thought. Goes on well and absorbs nicely into rough cut wood. Have used it on railway sleepers in garden and also on 2 x wood stores. - No hesitation in recommending.

Great Wood Preserver
I like to use creocote to protect my garden fencing, being posts, panels or featherboard, I usually use the Dark Oak version, but I decided to use a Light Oak finish (as a test) on a new project and I was very happy with the colour and the outcome. I find using this over some of the other style of coating to be more cost effective, as it’s an oil based preservative, it penetrates the wood, where the others just seem to sit on top and weather more quickly. As with all types of preservative, reapplying is necessary, and this is no different. The colour will fade over time and this is another reason to apply additional coats. As it imparts a stain, you can obviously go for a darker colour if you dislike the light oak colouring, but you can’t go the other way as easily.

Good for a chicken coop
I bought this to put on our chicken coop (a) to give it some protection before the winter and (b) to try to finish off an infestation of red mites that were proving resistant to sprays and powder. It's nasty stuff to put on - very runny - you'll need gloves and old clothes. But that does mean that it penetrates well into the cracks to protect the wood and kill off the little so-and-sos. It took quite a long time to dry - there were a couple of damp patches the next day - so you may want to think about putting any birds elsewhere overnight so that they don't asphyxiate or stick themselves to the walls. Two coats have made the wood repel water nicely - raindrops sit as little beads and don't soak in. The mites have also disappeared, so hope that's the end of them. Overall a good product.

Painted on today and it's just lashed it down.
Received it in time. Painted it on today and this tea time it lashed it down. Water beaded well. Looks ok. Glad I went for the paler option as I managed to get it all over my hands and my crutches and the clothes I was wearing. Comes off with neat fairy liquid. Bit smelly but it's used outside and it's not unpleasant. Nice golden glow to the wood so it's not darkened it substantially which is what I wanted. The grey handles on my crutches are now khaki, I've washed them well, I have bleached them, only time will tell if the khaki wears off. But that's my fault! Overall I'm pleased with it.

this colour is never a "light brown" no one with with any idea of colour could call it LIGHT
PAINTED A FENCE PANEL, which is now ruined and will have to be reboarded thought it would dry lighter but to no avail
