Magnifying God in Christ: A Summary of New Testament Theology

I won't do one of those reviews where I re-articulate the whole premise of the book. I will say this, apart from the bible no other book has had the effect on me that this book has in the last 2-3 years. The clarity in this book is contagious as he explains things that help you think deeply about other things that all begin to make sense. That's why I love this book! It's content is fantastic! It also helps me to think about other things and make connections in ways I hadn't thought before. Get it! Read it!! Love it!!!

Also recommend Tom Schreiner's FAITH ALONE, David Vandrunen's GOD'S GLORY ALONE -THE MAJESTIC HEART OF CHRISTIAN FAITH AND LOVE, and which God used to encourage me to actively engage my mind in the pursuit of TRUTH that is vitally related to the TRINITY!

What a great author. The way he words things is really unique. I find I can only read a few pages at a time, then I have to sit and think about it and digest what he wrote before I can read further. I like to highlight what I think is important. I'm doing a lot of highlighting!

Superb presentation of the doctrines of the New Testament each being summarized in the Synoptic Gospels, John, Acts, Pauline Literature, Hebrews, James, 1 and 2 Peter and Jude, 123 John and Revelation.

A good NTT introductory book making use of thematic presentation and salvation-history approach.

This book gives a holistic view of the Christian faith. Schreiner systematically explains the faith in a tangible and easily understandable way. Every Christian should read this book.
