This is perfect
Needed a mic arm to attach to my desk while filming a different angle for youtube videos and this is perfect to hold a small pencil mic. LOVE the fact it's so small and light. I'm surprised there aren't more stands like this here on Amazon but I guess with this one there is no need for alternatives!

Good in principle, but doen't hold heavy mics
the idea is good, but it is not strong enough for heavy mics.

Good quality.
But it’s not too great to hold heavier microphones like my Rode Podmic. I recommend using a lighter microphone if you want to get this

It looks good, but struggles with standard weight
I use a Rode NT2 condenser mic which weighs 1.9kg. It also uses a shock mount which I'm unsure of the weight. This mount can only hold 2.5kg, so it really struggles to hold the mic in place. I got there in the end, but if I touch this thing, it'll drop. I'm going to see how it is in the morning. If I find my mic resting on my keyboard, it'll be sent back and I'll update the review. You would have hoped a mic arm would be able to hold a mic and a shock mount.Update: Had to send the stand back as it could cope with the weight of a mic and shock absorber

Almost perfect but fundamentally flawed - ended up returning it.
I loved this boom arm; nice solid quality and whilst close to being perfect I ended up returning it for two reasons:One: Why have they not put a serrated disc type fixing at the base of the boom arm? What you actually have is a simple clamping action based on how much you tighten the screw and it felt like I was about to overtighten and break it. Two interlocking serrated plates would give a much better connection. The mic I use is an AT-2020, so not the heaviest, but it never seemed to stay in place with the boom arm fully extended. Two: Even fully extended, the boom arm was just too short even with it being fixed close to where I sit at my desk. Another 50mm-100mm would have made all the difference here.Whilst I have now ended up buying a more traditional boom arm, I really loved the Samson MBA18, so was a bit sad to return it – it just didn’t work for me.

Great product! But...
Generally I love this product! So much more cleaner and more ergonomic for my setup. Only issue I'd have is the kind if weight it can handle. I'm using the elgato mic which in itself is a pretty light mic (although I do have it kitted out with the shockmount) I'm very surprised with the money you're spending that it can only barely take it's weight. This is pretty minor complaint considering there is pretty much nowhere else I can find on the Internet a mic arm in this design but I thought I'd point it out as most cheaper arms that aren't great in general design can still handle the weight better. I think that for the price it should at least a have teethed/ratcheted joint at its main up and down pivot point. Saying all that I still love the arm and would definitely reccomend it to others! unless they upgrade that joint I plan to keep using this arm because I really do love the design :)

Quite a handy device with great adjustment options.
Works great and has some decent clamp range.

Good for directing your mic into an area.
My table does not have any edges that allow me to clamp a mic arm, so I have to clamp it to a bookshelf that's above and adjacent to my table. Where previously my old mic arm had to bend awkwardly to get into a desirably location, this mic arm allows me to position my mic where I want it without any awkward bends. The only real "caveat" is that if your mic is heavy, it might not hold very well and you might have to readjust the arm every now and then. But unless your mic weighs in excess of a kilogram, it should hold pretty well.

Excelente producto
