PC better than Xbox
I've been playing this game over 4 years and have logged over 365 days play time.. Yes, average of 6hrs a day. I have 3 systems, PC, PS2 and Xbox360. I bought the Xbox to run this game only. I was hoping for a higher quality image compared to the PS2, but it isn't. This could be due to the flat screen TV I have, but that is not my main problem. I've been running my Xbox for about 5 months now, 24/7. The problem with this system is the disc is required to be in the tray and it constantly spins, unlike the PS2 version and PC that play from the hard drives. My Xbox now has a hard time reading the disc and I have to smack it a few times to get it to read. (maybe due to dust build up?) It has also locked up a few times during battle and required a restart (over heating maybe?). I disconnected the Xbox system this weekend and plan to shutdown my 3rd account. Some quick notes for new players/people interested:1. PC is much better quality than other systems.2. This game is HUGE. Even with the amount of time I've played, I've only experienced less than 50% of the thing to do/places to go. This is mainly because I'm stationed overseas in a Japan timezone. (Hard to join large groups of english speaking people to do large scale events).3. You will need a PC/Internet access in order to look up information on quests/missions/monsters/gear/guides, ect.. Otherwise you will have a hard, boring time trying to figure stuff out and/or trying to locate items or places.4. If you don't have the time to play a couple days a week, don't bother. This game is on-line only, you can't pause it or hit the "save" button.5. Be prepared to kill hundreds/thousands of low level monsters to make money off the items they drop so you can buy gear/spells/food/ect.. You can do this while "looking for party" to level up.6. There are a total of 20 jobs you can chose from, but you only start out with 6 available (I think 6). You can start unlocking other jobs when you meet the level requirement of 30 (lev 75 is max) and perform the required quest. Some other RPG games lock you in as 1 main job from what I understand. This is the only game I play (for the most part) and I have no intentions of playing any other RPGs on-line.See ya around, maybe!Name: SvtServer: Sylph

If anyone is looking for a great game to play, something that goes beyond a linear storyline, then THIS is the game for you. The game is fantastic. The world is beautifully created. Sitting on a hill in the Batilla Downs region watching the sun come up, and it is different everyday, maintains a certain amount of beauty.I joined a wonderful Linkshell (guild) on my 4th day in game. The people are friendly and helpful. and I cannot imagine have joined anyone else.It it a hard game. You will be able to breeze through the first 20 lvls or so of your career. Then once you get to 30 you have the option of starting advanced jobs. Summoners, Paladins, Ninjas, Samurais, Dark Knights(my favorite). And the game lets you have a sub job. And when you have a sub job you can use all its combat and noncombat abilities. Very cool. The cutscenes for the storyline are beautiful, the NMs (notorious monsters) and tough to kill, some require an Alliance of 18 people. There is only one thing that I can think of that could be slightly improved upon, and that is leveling solo. It is possible, just no where near as fast as in a party. So if anyone joins us in Vana'diel, look me up on the Shiva server. Id be more then wolcome to have you join us.

Amazing game
I picked this copy up for my girlfriend. Buying it used in good condition is going to be one of your best bets. You will need to pick up a registration code. You can get it and all of the dlc items out now for around 20 dollars if you pick up the PC download version. This disk is used only so you can play on the xbox. The only down side is that you have to pick up wings of the goddess disk as well since you are unable to download the files through their servers on your xbox. Finding it cheap shouldn't be a problem as well. The game takes a while to be able to do all of the fun stuff. Everything starts to pick up at about level 30 to 40. As of now this game is taking up most of my time because of how fun it is. Usually people will help you get on track with leveling up and completing quests. They made the game easier to level since it first came out, and you are not forced to stay with just one job. You can even change back and forth between jobs and not worry about losing your progress. I will warn new players. The download process can take up to about nine or more hours to fully download to your xbox.

High Investment, Low Yield
An extremely slow game that took me hours to make any headway. Combat is automatic and restrictive in what actions I could perform, based on a cooldown system that prevents players from doing anything beyond basic attacks more than once for certain amounts of *real time*, so I couldn't steal anything from monsters more than once every five minutes. The game's presentation can be a mixed bag with slowdown and graphics that are plenty plain by today's standards, with only the music standing tall as being noticeably good.I personally found this to be an overall dull game. I did not sit well with the fact that a plodding experience like this is something one pays for, especially not how it is on a month-to-month basis. I'd rather do something more immediately gratifying or worthwhile, like playing an actually fun game, or reading. I sincerely hope Final Fantasy XIV, this game's online-only sequel, lives up to its promise to deliver a faster, more enjoyable experience and does better for itself and its community. We don't have all the time in the world.

great game for the 360
the graphics are not next gen but they are still good.Although This game requires you to party up in order to get the best xp you'll find alot of the community willing to help. A ton of content that can last for years. Also DO NOT BUY THIS USED because the play online codes that come with the game are a one time use only. That means if you buy it used you can install the game but you wont be able to play it so you spent money on a paperweight.

It came in a reasonable time frame and no damage. Quite a fun game for the rpg fan and actually takes a bit of skill to play.
