i like it. easy to install (clear directions, &c.) & works as described/ advertised. i like the idea very much inasmuch as cleaning a dryer vent hose IS one of those important maintenance routines that most folk just ignore & that poses some potentially SERIOUS, negative consequences. this groovy gizmo solves that problem in a permanent jiffy & makes that kind of lint-removing-maintenance (at least annually depending on usage) a breeze. the unit is molded plastic but it's extremely rigid & seems pretty darned durable. mounting the unit & completing install took all of maybe 20 minutes total. minimal tools needed & basic DIY skills are adequate for installation. would i recommend? definitely. if you DON'T have this, then give it some consideration because it "might" prove one heckuva' cheap long term investment to protect yourself, your loved ones, assets, &c. totally dig the product & give it two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Needed a new dryer vent hose and wanted a more secure connection. This fit the bill in every aspect. Easy 10 minute install. 3 drywall screws, a pair of tin snips, and done. Works exactly as advertised. Creates easy access to clean out dryer vent hose. Don't know why I waited so long to get one of these.

I have installed several of these and found them to be the most reliable connector system. The alternative - and this is perfectly fine too - is to have no quick connect. However, if you are like me and want easy disconnect for cleaning around the back of the dryer and like a proper flange where the vent line passes through the wall (instead of just a hole through the wall), then this is the product for you. It is a bit anal-retentive, which is why I think it is also perfectly fine to just pull the vent line through the wall and call it good. But I have my line also pass through the garage wall on the other side, and I wanted to have the ability to disconnect from there as well for easy cleaning of the line; again, I also like having a flange to close-out the hole in the wall. I also tried another disconnect product from a hardware store, and it was completely inferior. The benefit of this system is a much tighter and reliable fit because you turn the connector to lock it down. While no connection like this is going to be 100% leak proof, I think this particular one is the most leak-proof. In a short time, some of the lint is going to plug any of the small gaps and you will see zero leakage. But again, if you want complete leak-proof, the answer is as few connections as possible. The one improvement I found in method is to use the aluminum tape rather than a hose clamp to affix the vent line to the flange and to the connector. The hose clamps on the flange makes it harder to fit back into the wall - you will have to enlarge the existing hole a bit; my solution with the tape eliminates this. Besides, the tape provides a much better seal.

One of the few things I've bought in the last few years it was actually worth it and really a fairly decent product. It is plastic, and so there is that inherent deficit, however, it is a bit genius and it has worked well for me with the project I had. It seems to function well coming you just have to be careful because again it is plastic... 🤷🏼‍♀️🙄🧐

I recently purchased the Two-Piece Dryer Hose Quick-Connect with the hope of simplifying my dryer setup. The concept seemed straightforward: a quick-connect system that would make attaching and detaching the dryer hose much easier. The product image in the preview showed the system sitting flush against the wall, which looked like a perfect solution to save space and improve airflow. However, upon installation, I quickly realized that the product doesn't quite work as advertised for most people. The preview image is somewhat misleading, as it shows the product sitting perfectly flat on the wall. In reality, for many setups, the dryer vent is positioned in such a way that the hose will not sit flush unless you also purchase an extension pipe. This extension is necessary to bridge the gap between the dryer and the vent, allowing the quick-connect system to function as shown in the image. Without this extension, the hose remains at an awkward angle, making the installation less secure and potentially impacting the dryer's efficiency. I wish the need for an additional extension pipe was mentioned in the product description, as it adds both cost and complexity to what initially appeared to be a simple solution. Overall, while the Two-Piece Dryer Hose Quick-Connect might work well in specific setups, it didn't meet my expectations. Be prepared for the possibility that you'll need to purchase additional parts to achieve the streamlined look shown in the product images.

That's right - this product works perfectly. How do I know? I just installed mine today. Using it, and a couple of other products, I now have a connection from my dryer to my vent that I don't have to worry coming loose. I wish I had bought one of these sooner. Before, my vent connection was just a smooth tube coming out of the wall. Nothing I did would seem to keep the tube on. This product does just that. Just pull it out of the package, mark 3 holes, drill, mount, then attach the other end to the hose with a simple hose clamp, align it to the plate, turn and lock it, and you're done. I did have to supply my own screws and drywall anchors, which wasn't a big deal, but I could see that being an issue for some homeowners. So remember, if you buy one of these, you'll need to buy some screws and wall anchors - it only takes 3 of each. But once attached, it will not come off. Not like using only bands, or straps, or fussing with tape, or any nonsense like that. Mount, turn and lock it - simple. Easy.

I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but this 2-piece dryer dock turned out to be really handy. The quality feels solid, and it worked perfectly with my dryer setup. What I loved most is how easy it was to install, no fuss at all. Now, when I need to move the dryer to clean behind it, I don’t have to wrestle with the hose or worry about messing anything up. It snaps in and out so easily. Another big plus is that it eliminates the need for a long hose bunched up behind the dryer, which used to slow airflow and collect lint.
