Revlon PhotoReady Primer, Brightening, 0.91 Fluid Ounce

Really like this primer. It feels lightweight, goes on smoothly, and gives my skin a nice subtle glow without feeling greasy. My makeup applies more evenly and lasts longer when I use it. The brightening effect is natural, not over the top which I actually prefer for everyday wear. Great value for the price and definitely a solid primer to keep in rotation.

I have tried several primers and loved one I can no longer get due to high price and so searched on here for one to take its place. I work part time and can't afford some of the more expensive brands, so I ran across this and decided to give it a try and have to say I am happy I did. I have been using it for about two weeks and while the weather is still cool, this primer has kept my makeup intact all day. You don't need to use a lot, just a little goes a long way. It does not feel greasy so far, although again, the weather is still fairly cool. My job makes me sweat however, but even so, my makeup stays on well and I have to blot my face a lot less than I did when I used other brands. My face is dry in winter but this does not make it worse, and it gets somewhat oily in the summer, which I have yet to try. Thus far I am pleased with this product and will probably buy again.

The only quibble I have with this is that it DOES tend to pill slightly, but only if you have layers of product under it, ie. toner followed by serum, moisturiser, and sunscreen. And that’s if you don’t follow the many-layered Korean A.M. skincare regimen! On the plus side, this is one of the few primers that I can wear alone, on those days when I’m having a ‘good skin’ kind of a day (you KNOW what I mean! One of those all-too-scarce happy days when the skin gods smile on you). On THOSE days, this primer blends over my sunscreen easily, filling in the gaps like the best quality paint primer - except that I don’t need a top coat of foundation. It evens everything up in my skin. Little blotches are smoothed over and the whole canvas that was my face looks freshened up, a bit like it’s been run through one of those subtle filters on FaceTune. Not many primers do that. In my comprehensive and exhaustive use of primers from the cheap to the costly, only two have achieved this Primer Plateau: THIS ONE and the Too Faced’s Primed and Poreless in the original pink tube. Also, it’s mercifully matte, but not in a dry and withered way. I don’t want or need a primer to give may skin a ‘glow’ thank you very much! My skin’s oily enough. A soft yet clear matte finish is what I aim for in a primer. Here’s but a small list of the also-ran primers that didn’t quite make the cut — Laura’s Mercier and Geller, L’Oreal’s SPF 30 (nice finish but pills horribly!), E.L.F., Armani Master Primer, L’Oreal Pro-Matte Primer, Monistat Anti-Chafing Gel used as Primer (An excellent primer under foundation BTW - one of the best!), Urban Decay, Fenty, Kat Von D., Kryolan, Mehron and Cinema Secrets. And there’s more but that’s quite enough. You get the idea... The primer comes in three shades but honestly, I can NOT see an appreciable difference in them at all. This has been one of my favorite primers for years. I wasn't crazy about the pot it used to come in, plus it was much more expensive than Rimmel which works just as well. I like the consistency of this better, though. It glides on easily and just gives my skin a nice look. I tend to get oily and this helps with that a LOT. I do not wear a lot of make-up - try to put more effort into keeping my skin healthy and clear than into covering it up with makeup. A lot of times I only apply this, a little blush, and mascara. I also use ELF setting spray. Also should add that I live in FL which means big time sweating just walking from your house to your car May - October. This stuff has kept my make-up in place when I had leftover marks from cystic acne and had to use foundation and concealer on a day when I was outside in 85 degree heat for hours!

I have a very oily T-zone, yet my cheeks, forehead area are very dry. I went through so many different primers, yet I still don't think I found an ideal primer for me. I can't layer this primer onto my entire face, (I can't stand unbreathable feeling through my skin throughout the day). At first, I made a mistake to layer my entire face with this primer (without knowing I will immediately want to wash it off). I applied this primer as thin as possible, (since it has an unique finish texture, it could make your face so cakey, and it emphasizes wrinkles), and when I applied my liquid foundation after applied this primer, my foundation started to pulling a primer around with. So, I had to stop using a brush to apply foundation, I had to use a makeup sponge. but then, my pore started to show. (yikes) If you have a neutral skin type, this primer will do wonder for you, but if you have an oily/dry/combination skin type. you will experience this primer gets moved around while you apply foundation. So, now I only use this primer on my nose and underneath eyes where I have big pores issue to filling pores. I wanted to like this primer, reviews I read were very promising. This product itself isn't a bad one. It is my skin type which doesn't get along with this primer much. 😥 if you like a siliconic finish primer, this is for you. But, if you dislike a siliconic finish, you won't like this primer.

I love this product. I don't use it under my makeup(I use Laura Geller's Spackle UNDER), I use 1 or 2 pumps WITH 1 full pump of my makeup (Revlon's Photo Ready), mixing them slightly on my palm before dotting over my entire face and throat, then applying like any other foundation. I find this gives me the perfect amount of coverage. My foundation doesn't settle in lines or wrinkles and the finish is soft and dewy, and BEST of all, it LASTS ALL Day! I buy 3 at a time with as many bottles of my foundation. I love this stuff. I tried it when I ran out of "Spackle" and I was waiting for that "reorder" to arrive. I bought this for the first time when Revlon was buy one, get one 50% off at my local drugstore. I am so glad I did! Now, I buy on Amazon and its at my door the next day.

This has been my holy grail primer for several years now. Absolutely nothing beats it, not even expensive ones at Sephora or the fancy makeup counters in department stores. It's light but provides actual coverage for my large pores and slight redness. 80% of the time I just use this and skip foundation (which I never EVER would have done in the past). Usually I'll dab a little powder on top for extra smoothing and coverage, but you don't need it. Any type of foundation goes perfectly over it, but the one that works best for me is the Revlon cream foundation that comes in the little tub. Most primers never sink into my skin and I feel like I can rub it off throughout the day. This stuff dries matte and lasts all day. If they ever discontinue it, I will cry. Can't beat the Amazon price, either. My #1 must have in my makeup bag (well, tied with my Anastasia dipbrow)!

I have used this primer for years. My daughter is always getting me new ones, samples .... I've tried pretty much every expensive primer out there and I always go back to this one. Perfect 'blurring' stays on all day and keeps my foundation on all day. Some people complain about the pump stopping to work, I will pry the lid off and give it a bit of a stir with the 'straw' in the package. Or just dip and use it. I always manage to get all of the product out and it's very much worth it to me.

Empezando por el empaque es de vidrio y me pareció súper bueno y bastante bien, al igual que como venía empaquetado para que no se fuera a quebrar. En cuanto al primer se siente súper suave e hidratante en la piel. Si reduce poros y deja la piel lisa y muy bonita. Es perfecto para matificar y que la piel no se vea grasosa ya que tengo piel mixta. Muy buen producto!!! Lo recomiendo.

The parcel arrived within a couple of days of ordering at Christmas time as well, fully sealed, packaged in a jiffy bag. The only disappointment is that the seller was kind enough to put a signed for sticker on (which costs the seller extra) and Royal mail just put in in the letter box. The product itself is lovely, its a little bit more runny than most liquid foundation in the consistency and i'd recommended doing the first pump into the bottle as it sprays suddenly because it's new. It's a pale white with a hint of pink to even out your skin tone and make skin smooth for foundation to go on, does tend to cling to any dry patches so you do need to moisturize first. It is matte but keeps healthy glow, you can use it without foundation but you will look a bit washed out. Overall great product, good seller experience

Der Primer kommt mit eine Punpverschluss und lässt sich demnach sehr gut und hygienisch dosieren. Die Textur ist ser cremig bis "gelig" (Ist das ein Adjektiv? Na ja, wie dem auch sei) und ist sanft hellrosa. Der Auftrag ist sehr einfach, ich persönlich hab das jetzt mit meinen Fingerspitzen gemacht. Was ist besonders schön finde, der Primer mattiert sehr schön. Ich weise eine eher unreine, ölige Haut mit hoher Neigung zum Glänzen auf. Und siehe da, der Primer schafft es, diese Haut zu mattieren. Das find ich schonmal sehr gut, da manche Primer da versagen. Die Haut fühlt sich sehr weich und eben an, ich werde gleich auch meine Foundation aufbringen. Wer reine Haut hat, der wird höchstwahrscheinlich nur den Primer benötigen. Ich... zähl da leider nicht so ganz dazu. Bin schon sehr auf das Ergebnis gespannt, bin mir aber ziemlich sicher, das von einem guten Ergebnis auszugehen ist.
