Works well
This shower drain works really well. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and I'm definitely glad I got this. I have a long hair and a lot of it ends up in the drain when washing, in fact so much that every month I have to clean my drain because it gets clogged. Needles to mention that cleaning the drain is probably one of the most disgusting things ever. This shower drain eliminated the issue with clogged drain and it'smuch cleaner process to pick up the hair from it. All the hair catches on it and stays on top where it can easily be picked up and thrown out after every wash. It fits perfectly over my shower drain and it doesn't move or float around when showering. One thing I noticed with this shower drain is that it will slow down the water/foam draining during shower since the drainage holes are really small, but it's not an issue for me. I'd rather stay in the shower another 40 seconds while the water drains than deal with the nasty clogged drain.I definitely recommend this.

Works great
This is a very nice drain cover. I didn't realize how much hair had been going down the drain. This cover is easy to clean off. Some reviews said it didn't stay in place, but it hasn't moved since I put it in the shower. I think the suction is good and so it the weight and sturdiness. I recommend this

Good for flat shower floor
This is best for a stall shower with a flat floor near the drain. It works very well, using a slip-resistant silicone ring instead of suction. A few hairs do manage to slide underneath, but it does prevent most hair from going down the drain. The hair sits on top of the protector so it's easy to pick up and throw away-- if there's a lot of pet hair and it slows drainage, just move the debris to one side. The silicone seems thicker on one side or the other...try both sides to see which one works better for you.

Updated review
2nd update: while I really do like it, the only way it’s going to stay put is if I put a small line of aquarium sealer or waterproof caulk around the bottom. It has successfully stopped all the hair from getting underneath after I flipped it upside down (see 1st review), but of course there’s nothing holding it in place this way. If I add a thin ring of caulk to it, I’ll turn it back over the way it’s supposed to be & I suspect there’ll be no more movement of this drain screen & no more problems. I really do love how flat & smooth it is & hair doesn’t even catch in the holes, but just lays on top for quick removal. I love that it looks good too & not like something sitting in the tub. And that it’s SS so no rusting. But be forewarned: it might not stay in place for you 100% of the time if you try it for yourself & you may need to do as I’m doing to keep it from the small am’t of movement that allows a sm. portion of the hair to get under like I’ve noticed.1st update:Still happy w/ this drain screen, but there are 2 things I’ve noticed w/ more use. 1st, there was a small wad of hair underneath it when I picked it up one day. I was surprized since I’d been getting hair off the top of it & I don’t know “how” hair was getting under it. It still caught more hair than my tub’s built in strainer does, & still worth it. Keep reading for my solution. 2nd: it has been moving some over my tub drain (initially it was staying where I put it), & I’m thinking excess soap might be making the silicone ring not grip as well. But the movement has been so little that it still covered my tub drain & I only gave it a nudge back about once a wk, so not a real problem. To see if I could alleviate hair getting under it, I’ve flipped it upside down over the drain so it lays totally flat on the bottom of the tub. Seems to have worked & the slight movement hasn’t seemed to have increased or decreased any. The silicone (which is now on top since I flipped it) doesn’t even show. It’s such a small silicone ring around the edge & clear colored, it’s virtually invisible. So I still like this drain cover! Still looks great, everything it catches just wipes off in 1 swipe w/o sticking in the holes, & it won’t ever rust or break. It’s made to last & will still look new forever.Initial review:Perfection! Works fine, stays in place even when water hits it full blast, cleaning is effortless, & it looks really good. An unintended benefit is my dog’s nails don’t get caught in the holes during a bath like they would w/ the built in tub strainer holes. This strainer is totally smooth too w/ no rough edge or hole to scrape a foot or paw on. And this strainer just lays across the tub’s built in strainer so no need to remove anything. This strainer definitely catches hair that the built in old tub strainer didn’t! One down side is that I thought it was too pricey & put off getting it for a long time.

Works well, stays out of the way
Stays in place, has a low profile, and catches long hair quite well.

Worked well at first
Worked great for a week or so and then water did not flow through the holes properly. I cleaned it thoroughly after every shower and it still does not allow the water to pass through properly, causing shower to fill up with water. The only plus is that it stays in place.

Perfect shower hair catch
Works great to collect hair in the shower! Fits completely over the drain. Not uncomfortable if stepped on.
