I bought this floor lamp to add to my smart home lighting. I put a dimmable LED bulb in it and connected it to a Lutron Caseta Lamp dimmer. Now I have a remote controlled, dimmable floor lamp. Also, putting a Lutron Pico Remote on the wall next to the switch for my overhead light, I can turn the light on or off from the same location as the overhead light. The lamp itself is nice and sturdy and well built. It was very easy to assemble.

I LOVE this lamp!!! It is a beautiful lamp and extremely affordable. I’m a 63 year old female and it took me maybe 20 minutes to put together. Very sturdy and lights up my bedroom very well. Now I want one for my living room😉

Our adult children bought 4 of these. One was defective with a short in the socket and was replaced. Construction and appearance for the price is good. Light can be very bright modern LED bulbs without generating heat. The lamps come with many warning stickers which are not easy to remove.

I am very pleased with the lamp. Had one almost identical for nearly twenty years, my husband broke it last weekend so this replaced it. The shade & pole are not as big as the other but otherwise it’s perfect.

Nov 2020 Updated Review 3*:One of the two lamps I had started to smell like it was burning in less than a month's time. Price went up $10 so I opted for an exchange. I was sent one that looks new but the base is slightly uneven so it looks crooked and the metal part when the plastic shade fits is slightly bent as well so the shade doesn't sit in as nicely as it did with the lamp I returned.I'm so sick of looking for lamps so I'm sticking with these if they continue to work because they're still decent for the price. I knocked off another star because of quality consistency issues in their appearance and function.******************Updated Review 4*:You can only spend so much time looking at lamps and trying to buy lamps online. After hours of searching and two failed attempt at similar but different lamps to this one, I decided to buy this one again since the first one, I thought, was a safe bet.This second one has some scratches - on the base and on the pole. They would definitely be noticeable if this wasn't brushed silver but, since it is, and the big one is on the base and only mildly visible when standing and looking from a certain angle, I decided to keep it. The price is right at $34.95 prime, and I'm sick of taking apart and returning stuff. The lamp works just as the other one. I do not use a dimmer with this lamp.Scratches aside, the only other issue I had that was not mentioned in the original review below was with the bulb socket screw for the lampshade. There are two pieces that screw together and also screw to the bulb socket. Both pieces were still together when I unscrewed it from the socket so I was having a hard time getting it to screw back on with the lampshade. (This didn't happen with the first lamp.) Thankfully, I already had the one lamp so I checked that one and noticed what the issue was so I unscrewed the two pieces that were screwed together and was able to mount the lampshade without issue. I can't recall for certain but I think I remember reading something about people having similar issues with the lampshade fitting, so this may be why.I docked one star from the original review because of the scratches on the second lamp. The same sticker issue as the first lamp is present here too.************************Original Rating: 5 stars.Original Review:I bought this for a lamp next to my desk since I'm working from home during Covid - before the days get short so I can have daylight on not-so-bright days.Considerations:I already have a really nice, higher-end floor lamp so I wanted it to match in terms of style, while not breaking the bank.I live in an apartment. If I move again, I'd prefer to move as little as possible. The price is right to not feel like I have to take it with me.I miss having a pet. I'd like the shade not to break if it falls over from pet zooming when I do get another one so I actually wanted a plastic shade versus a glass one in spaces where I need light but the lamp won't necessarily be protected or secured by other furniture.The shade is nice, btw - can't even tell it is plastic unless you look up close.The body looks clean, sharp, and straight. It matches nicely with the art deco decor throughout the apartment.I have only had the lamp for about a week but it looks new, looks much nicer than I expected, and was easy enough to put together without gaps or issues. I did lube each segment with WD-40 prior to screwing each segment of the lamp post together and it was easy.It is a 100 watt 3-way lamp. I have a 100 watt, 5000k daylight dimmable bulb inserted and have the lamp plugged into a dimmer adapter plugged into the outlet of a wall light switch. I keep the lamp turned on and use the wall switch to turn it off and use the dimmer to adjust the brightness. It works great for me and it is plenty bright. Someone mentioned being disappointed by the dimmable bulb only lighting up on the middle setting. If you unscrew the bulb when you turn it off, then turn it three times and screw the bulb back in, it should light to it's maximum wattage, and henceforth, light up the same on the second and the third setting, albeit to the same wattage both times.My only gripe is there is a sticker at the base of the part where the lamp shade sits. It is on the outside of the base and it is difficult to remove - will probably have to use WD-40 or Goo Gone to remove the sticky remnants of the sticker when I actually do remove it. It is facing the wall right now so it isn't a priority. At least the lamp is brushed nickel so there is not the issue of potential paint removal with trying to get the sticker off.

This lamp is a sturdy and very well made. The easiest standing lamp I have put together . The plastic shade is not bad looking, but would have prefered glass. All in all hard to beat at this price point. Looks great in my living room, I put a LED bulb in it and leave it on all night (night light) or when I travel. I'm thinking of getting another for the bedroom.

What a piece of junk! One of the sections the threads were off and wouldn't screw together properly; there is nothing holding the plastic cone light cover in place so the base leans one way and the cone leaning the other way; it's actually comical how bad this lamp is. I tried to turn it off, and had to keep turning the knob, it came unscrewed fell off and went under my couch. Next stop - trash can.

This lamp is the perfect replacement for another very old floor lamp that stopped working. It has a great look and works very well with a traditional (incandescent) 30-70-100 watt 3-way bulb. It is every bit of 6 feet tall and provides very adequate light from the corner of my bedroom. The appearance of the lamp is exactly as shown on the Website. The shade is plastic but reflects light well enough for me.
