This handheld DSLR stabilizer is a very, very good product for its price point. It took a little while to get it fully stablized, but once you do it the first time, you can easily remove the camera and put it back with ease. Sadly, there are no instructions that came with this stabilizer, but it was self explanatory. Here is my very simple guide. Know how much weight you need. The more weight you put on, the faster it will swing to the middle. You may need to remove a weight. Make sure the holding stick is directly under the center of the camera. This will make it sit perfectly in the middle, which is what you want. Also, center your camera using the notches on the top, they look like a plus sign. Center it so it doesn't sway in any direction. Next, move the weighted arm in small increments to make small changes to where the camera will point. For the price though, I have zero complaints. I wasn't expecting much from something at this price considering the competition, but it honestly makes all of your shots really smooth. I am pairing this with my new Sony A6300.

I was very excited to receive this product. I had reservations due to the price and discovered that my feeling was correct. The item seemed to be made well and it was attractive and lightweight. I tried using it over the course of a few days, but could never get the balance right. I watched several Youtube videos where others had the same issue, but seemed to be able to overcome. I was not. I returned the item dissatisfied. It might be me, but this item didn't work as I expected it to. I will look for something more user friendly.

Upon initial set up I could NOT get this thing to smoothly balance. I followed an instructional video on youtube; but it did NOT work. My video with the stabilizer video was even worse than just handheld! There were a couple of questions from folks on the youtube video asking how tight the handle should be. An answer was given; not at all. I can only assume they meant the tension screw with the little plastic 'c' handle. Something isn't right I think; that should be tight, why is it there? When I tightened it, it locked the ball pivot in the socket! I took the whole handle assembly apart. It was Loose. A stud screw threads into the ball pivot hub and then the handle threads on to it. I threaded the stud and tightened it in the hub, then reattached the handle. Next, tightened the 'c' screw tight. PRESTO! The ball/socket was still loose and free. Rebalanced the camera and this thing is silky smooth now! That little bit of slop in the handle assembly changed everything. TIP: the ball/socket has a slot in it. Have that facing you; (the ball socket does rotate freely.) Then you can achieve great low transition shots. While you're supposed to hold the handle upright; I've found if you hold the handle like you might a garden hose that works great too. (The slot has to face you to do this.)

This product is terrible. It has a very low-quality feel. Occasionally, it shifts on its own even after the screws have been tightened. I wouldn't rely on this as it is quite inexpensive. I would prefer to spend a bit more to obtain something that is more dependable. It does manage to keep the camera video stable. I must mention that while recording a video, you won't encounter much shaking, but it still feels extremely cheap, and I don't believe it's worth risking it with an expensive camera. I definitely should have opted for something a bit pricier.

I have been taking videos of weddings, quinceañeras, etc. for about a year now. I have been using an "over the shoulder stabilizer," but wanted to try a handheld one. I purchased the Afunta Stabilizer with high hopes, but I was disappointed. The screw where the camera/camcorder goes is a pain. If while trying to screw it in it falls off, you will have a hard time putting it back in there, especially if you have thick fingers. I have a Nikon D3100 and it did not screw in all the way. The camera is loose. What is the whole point of having a stabilizer if the camera will be loose? However, my Canon camcorder screws in just fine. It's a pain to balance, but it balances. However, I didn't think it was worth spending 10-20 balancing it for a 30 minute video. You have to balance the camera (forwards or backwards), the weight (washers), the part where the washers go, the grip (forward or backwards), and how wobbly or sturdy you want the grip. Did not like it.

I wanted an inexpensive stabilizer to use while shooting iPhone videos of kids. "real" stabilizers are far too costly for this purpose. There are a number of devices that all look the same - Roxant, Afunta, etc. --- with prices that range from $29 to $70 or more. I believe that they are identical. If you want one of these, get the cheapest one. It was a bit of a pain to set up. The design is really oriented to heavier cameras (DSLR etc.), which meant a trip to the hardware store to purchase some washer and a bolt to use as a counterbalance. In the end I'd say that it is significantly better than no stabilizer at all, but it's certainly no perfect. Was it worth $30 - definitely. How about $60 --- I don't think so.

I've had this for about a week now and I really like it. I was going to build a "DIY" mount similar to this, but when I found this for the price, I decided to simply purchase rather than do DIY, for the simple fact that the cost for parts to build would be almost as much to buy, and that this is more portable and probably more durable than the DIY plans I had. I shoot HD video mostly outdoors for a Youtube channel. It takes a little time to set up, but once it's set up and you get to know how it works, it works quite well. I took mine out and shot a couple hours of practice footage before using it on an actual shoot. I can see where some of the more expensive styles of gimbal type steady cam mounts would be more ideal, but this is more than satisfactory for the price. One thing everyone seems to think though, is that you're going to go out and instantly shoot cinema-quality footage in five minutes' time. It doesn't work that way. This is a tool, and you have to learn how to balance it properly (there are TONS of YT videos showing you how to do just that) and you need to learn how to fly it properly (again, TONS of YT videos showing you the technique). It's a bit of an art form and it has to be learned, so if you want instant gratification, then this tool and shooting quality video just isn't for you. If you're willing to take a few hours to learn how to balance your cam properly and practice the proper technique to use it, then this is a great steady cam tool for the price.

Did a lot of research before I settled on this stabilizer. Many negative comments to go along with the excellent comments. I needed a stabilizer so I kept looking. A customer who bought this made a YouTube video debunking most of the negative comments. The guy was very convincing so I ordered this stabilizer and received it when my friend returned to the States (I had sent it to his address in Oklahoma). Remembering the video, we gave it a thorough checking out and realized we could make it work with very little problems. Put my Nikon 1 with the 10-20mm lens on the stabilizer and within a few minutes (and a lot of discussion) we were able to get it to work as expected. Look at it. Adjust it. Think about the physics of it and then balance your camera based on what you theorized. It works but it takes some understanding of why it works. As the guy in the video stated, this is one solid piece of equipment. All metal except the grips. Easily adjusted if one understands how it works. Only used it a little but the Nikon 1 was stable. Will take it out next week for a serious movie making adventure among nine Thai temples in Kanchanaburi. about two hours away from Bangkok. If you have doubts, find the video and watch it before making you decision.

This is a great budget stabilizer. It looks exactly like the pictures and is easy to put together. While it takes some work to get it balanced properly, it helps take great moving video when you do. As for HOW to balance it, I recommend YouTube for some great instructional videos.

Il prodotto e di ottima fattura, non so come possa essere venduto a un prezzo così basso. il risultato del prodotto sono altamente dipendenti dal solo utente (peso camera+ forza fisica + abilità) . Per quanto mi riguarda sono soddisfatto al 100% mi ha sorpreso per quello che fà , la manifattura e la robustezza secondo me sono al TOP. Io lo uso con una mirrorless sony Alpha5100 300g. Da considerare il peso che non è da poco, portarlo in ferie e un impegno da non poco.Questo modello supporta fotocamere fino a 1 Kg. a si ovvio che la camera dondoli(abilità del operatore), ma vuoi mettere per questo prezzo. Consiglio a chi lo compra di provarlo più volte e allenarsi per un paio di minuti al giorno, vedrete che il miglioramento cresce velocemente. Il primo aproccio non convince, ma dopo un paio di minuti ci si abbitua e si nota la differenza con la ripresa a mano libera.

仕事でダメもとで映像制作の現場で使ってみました。ソニーの業務用のハンディカムのマイクとハンドルを外して取り付けたので家庭用のハンディカムと同じ重さだと思います。 まずバランスを取るために取り付けるカメラの位置とグリップハンドルの位置、ウエイトが付いてるバーの角度の調整で最適の位置を見つけることが大事です。 いろいろな動きを試してみて調整をしました。 どんな高額なスタビライザーでも全て機械任せではありません、カメラマンの手での補正が必要があります。 腰の位置を安定させる、すり足で歩く等、体とカメラとスタビライザーと一体で安定させる必要があります。 実際に使ってみて、両手でグリップを掴み、傾きそうのなったらウエィトアームを指で微妙に水平を補正することにより安定した撮影ができました。 高額のバランサーと比較すると劣る部分はありますが、価格を考慮すると星6個でもいいと思います。
