My go-to pens
These pens are terrific. They are very smooth and you never have to scribble to get ink to come out. The ink is super dark, and they're even good at filling in solid spaces. The grip is extremely effective - almost too effective. It is somewhat rough and irritates my finger when I write a lot in one day (6 college courses, so I mean a LOT of writing), but if it tells you anything I kept using it and it's still my favorite pen!!

Search for the smoothest, longest lasting, and affordable pen
Search for the perfect pen has almost ended. I really liked the papermate inkjoy pens, but they ran out of ink too fast and had only the "bold" (1.4mm) size head. These pens are exactly what I was looking for! The grip is nice because its not plastic and smooth and would wriggle when your had gets sweaty. It's a type of rubber that grips the sides of your fingers very well- no matter how long you write for.In addition, this pen has a very nice inkflow! I hate, despise, grimace....when I get a pen that scratches the paper due to inadequate inkflow. This pen not only glides on paper, but you don't need to press it down hard when writing. Now, because I'm hearing that most office supply stores are not carrying these pens, I'm assuming there's a limited supply of these pens. When I ordered my two boxes, I noticed that the pens don't write out of the box. You have to do that twirly writing to get the ink out. No big deal. Why? Because once they start writing, they don't stop. As long as the pen performs like the rockstar it is, I could care less if it writes the first time. Once you get the inkflow going, its golden. Also the pen is perfectly balanced. It's very affordable but doesn't feel as cheap in your hand. I am a heavy writer; diary, lab notes, letters, poems, literature- I write a lot. And with someone who writes a lot, the pen becomes more than just a tool. It becomes an extension of your hand. So finding the pen that simply "fits" is a very timely task for writers. I had given up on the cheaper papermate pens and bics and was going to buy a couple of expensive single parker pens, but I gave this a last try. And I was not dissapointed. The tip is medium (1.0mm). Perfect for me. I believe it is also the standard size. So if you write tiny, or squeeze text as much as you can, go with a fine (.7mm) tip. This pen though....is superb. In terms of price, performance and feel.**The only thing I can think of that I would change: When writing, the pen works great between 0-90 degrees tilt. If you are one of those writers whose pen is almost parallel with the paper (90-180 degrees tilted), then the tip of the pen will not provide you with the inkflow and smoothness that you want. Most people fall into the 10-90 degree tilt range when writing. But for those who are different in the angle that they hold their pens when writing: go with the papermate inkoy. It will run out of ink faster, and does not have as nice a deep black ink as this pen, but the inkflow and design will be better suited to you.Order this pen, if you don't like, return it! I love this pen so much I've ordered 3 more boxes and I've persuaded my company's purchaser to make an exception and not buy crappy pens from our account with office depot, but to order these specific pens from Amazon, which seems to be the only place to find them nowadays! Thank you Amazon!

The perfect pen (for me, that is.)
I love this model so much that I bought a case when they were being retired. Glad to see they're back on the market. I bought another case.

these pens are great
These Flexgrip pens are great. The ink lasts forever. The grip is good - soft, but not squishy. I'd like the click kind, not just the stick pen, but I could not find them.

Cusion and Grip can't be Beat
I don't know where I first got this pen, but it soon became my favorite. It has a subtle cushion and the circumference is perfect for my petite fingers. The ink runs smoothly, evenly, and has great saturation. When my original pen finally ran out of ink, I read the writing on the pen and googled it.Very happy that Amazon carries this pen as it would have been time intensive going store to store trying to find it. I ordered a box and the pens lasted a good long while. This review is for my 2nd box and I'm still happy with the product.I keep one pen on my desk, one in the kitchen, one in my purse, and one at the kitchen table. Where I reach for a pen, I am set. The smoothness of writing, and thickness of ink are really important to me. It just feels good to hold and to write with.
