Illuminate Your Ride! 💥
The Kuryakyn 4709 Motorcycle LED Lighting Component is a must-have diode kit wire assembly designed for metric motorcycles. It ensures proper installation of LED turn signals, preventing back-feed issues that cause all signals to flash simultaneously. This kit includes a diode wire assembly and a 6-inch ground wire, making it an essential upgrade for any motorcycle enthusiast looking to enhance their ride's lighting system.

Used in a non-motorcycle application, and still works great
I had a different use for this product: adding an LED to a car that could be powered from one of two +12V feeds, each of those feeds controlled by a standard automotive relay. The two feeds would not be live at the same time, and both feeds were connected via wire nut to the + side of the LED. Sounds simple right? The problem I was trying to solve: because the two +12V wires were connected to each other, and because of other elements of the circuit design, when one wire was live (and the other would not be), the live wire's +12V would get sent down the not-live wire, up through the automotive relay controlling the not-live wire, and affect other things "upstream." The LED worked, but the "upstream effects" were problems and a potential future source of trouble. It's never good when you have current flowing somewhere unintentionally -- great way to fry something. This product allowed me to solve the problem.Attached each +12V wire to each of the product's red leads. Those two leads lead to two diodes under that black midsection shown in the product pics. Attach the product's blue wire to the + side of the LED. LED still works. And because of the diode pair, +12V running down one red wire doesn't travel back up the other red wire.Basically I had a general application of the problem this product advertises to -- making sure +12V on one side (on a motorcycle, turn signal A) doesn't run through a central point (on a motorcycle, the indicator lamp in the dash) and back out down the other (on a motorcycle, turn signal B).Very grateful for this product. I tried a few different ways of fixing this, looked at other options, even tried to get into sorting what diode I needed. Because this needed to be installed right at the LED, there was no need for me to get so fancy about it. The product works, and now I'm off to install two of these new LEDs, both with the diode setup, as side markers on a car that never had any before.

Stops 4-way flash with leds
After converting to LEDs in your motorcycle turn signals, you get feed through your turn signal indicator bulb. Install these diodes to eliminate that issue. Its an easy and quick solution, but I make it a bit slower to accomplish by soldering and heat shrinking the connections. Therefore, it takes me about 15 minutes to do the job.

Works great!
I like many motorcyclists, switched out the incandescent bulbs on my bike for LED. They're brighter, they last longer, and generally look better. However when it comes to your turn signals, you'll quickly enter into issues as LEDs only work in one direction. Enter this little guy.Definitely make sure you test your connections before you permanently affix your wiring! I personally used jacketed clips on all pieces so I could plug, test, plug, test. All signals work like a dream. Great construction, great price. Great product!

Perfect for that modded bike!
Purchased this for my 78 gs550 café. New speedo had only an LED single signal light indicator. I had just added cat eye minis up front (BikeMaster Universal Mini-Stalk Turn Signal 122-9850 ) and 2 LED signals (Flush Mount LED Bolt - (11 mm Black, Amber LED) ). I was getting an all on condition for all 4 lights...no flashing. After some quick reading, this is what I needed and worked perfectly. I cut the wires back to accommodate the extra wire for the diode, and soldered it together with some heat shrink tubing. Worked. I did not need the ground wire as that was already wired in. Each of the red wires gets connected to the left and the right original turn signal wires (separately of course), and the single wire goes to the led indicator light.Key words here:-All on turn signals-SINGLE light turn indicator light (on the speedometer)-LED turn signal indicator light

works great
Wired it up and worked like charm. If you are wondering what this does and are very confused like I was. Here is the deal:1. You installed LEDs in your turn signals.2. You installed a no load relay.3. You have only ONE turn signal indicator light.4. You turn signals flash like hazards lights with the LEDs and no load realy. This will fix issue 4. You do not need this if you have two turn signal indicator lights. This needs to be wired as close to the indicator light as possible. Don't wire this down stream to make it an easier install. It won't work. I'm not very technical, but after wiring this up, I understand what the issues is. I won't even try to explain it. I don't have the expertise to explain this in a way anyone would understand.

Works and is really easy to install.
Really easy to install, the only thing is if your dash signal indicator is an LED you need to make sure your polarity is correct. Other than that the ground was easy as I hooked it to the ground on my USB charger. You only need to solder or connect 4 wires and they are all under the headlight or dash. This worked for me on a 1986 Suzuki DR600 Dakar with the original signal relay and LED lights from Amazon.

Does what it's supposed to
It's a bit steep on the price for a diode and a couple wires, having no shop in town that sells circuitry components of any nature I couldn't make it myself, but bottom line is it works to convert incandescent to LED as its supposed to, so I have to rate 5 star for functionality, but lower the friggen price

Solved my problem on my 1973 Honda Cb500
A little pricey but it was worth it. I extended it with thicker wires and added bullet connectors to it. Now my the turn signal bulb works on my instrument cluster on my 1973 Honda CB500.
