Great book! Even just the illustrations make it my choice!
I wish I had such a beautifully-illustrated book when I was studying vocal pedagogy years ago! I just started using this book with my university voice students in their voice lessons. I'm thrilled that they can now have a clear view into what actually goes on when we sing, instead of me describing body parts in a vacuum that they couldn't connect to. By the end of the semester I'll try to add an update.

Superbly explained and illustrated
In every respect, this is a superb book: explanations are clear and succinct, format is highly readable (although I would prefer slightly larger font), illustrations are clearly drawn (although I would prefer slightly darker type, some slight shading, and slightly darker lines). This is a superlative value.A significant, polished, enlarged edition would make for a beautiful coffee table book (provided the written text remain as is; additional writing would defeat the purpose of relaxed repose).Highly recommended!

I use this daily to help my voice students better understand how their voice works! Very helpful!

Not worth the cost. Very short
Just a thorough explanation of the anatomy and basically nothing else. I could have learned most of this on Wikipedia. Maybe more.

Super informative book
Couldn't be more pleased with this book. It has everything I wanted: clear, clean, large diagrams and pictures. Was looking for a book that had these things so that I can show my students. It's important for them to understand how their instrument works! Great book!

Very informative!
As a music teacher who never learned this as part of my degree program, I am enjoying learning about the voice. This book is easy to read and has helpful diagrams.

Basic anatomy for singers
Very good, and has all that you would ever need to know if you are a teacher of singers. I would, however, recommend his other and earlier book more so for students as being all round better buy as it is more general with again more than enough anatomy in it for students to know what happens - you're not trying to become a surgeon! The book is called Your Body, Your Voice.

Recommended for all singers and teachers
I teach singing and I think that the more a singer knows about how the vocal mechanism works the better. This book, with its excellent illustrations, is a great resource for singers and their teachers

Brilliant for the nerdier singing teacher. ;)
Excellent. I am a singing teacher and knowing about the anatomy in more depth has complimented my teaching. The pictures are very helpful and the information is very current.
