Cannoli Shells - Light and Flaky - 24 Shells - Frank and Sal Bakery - 5 Inch

I needed cannoli shells for my granddaughter's bridal shower. Being the good grama, I was going to make them by hand, but I also work full time and decided I wasn't going to go through the process of MAYBE having them turn out right. I decided to see if I could find a bakery; in my search I found one online, here at Amazon.Frank and Sal's bake fresh and ship in segmented shell holders. Their reviews were excellent, so I ordered.I was amazed at how well they were packaged and fully intact, NO BROKEN ONES!! I think they bake these to order. It did take a couple extra days to arrive, but no complaint here... just plan accordingly if they are for a party. Fresh, crispy, and awesome! They come packed in trays, each in it's own cell; six per tray. The plastic trays are stacked and have tissue or food paper, cardboard, & bubble wrap layered in between each tray, the multiple trays are then stacked and the whole stack is bubble wrapped and placed in a box. Amazon also bubble wraps and boxes up the original box. They arrived perfect and none were broken. The 5 inch cannoli's hold about 2 oz of filling or more! These are BIG shells and hold a lot of filling. One is plenty for one person.

My husband is from the east coast and always talks about the Italian cheeses, cannolis and rum cake. I've tasted all those things and they do nothing for me, but it was his birthday, so I ordered him some. First, the package came promptly, well packaged and insulated. I did have contact with someone from Frank & Sal's and they were very pleasant, helpful and customer service oriented. (Which is kind of a surprise from a business in New York, lol) I was so excited to present my husband with authentic Italian cannolis on his birthday and he loved them. I ordered the cream too which is amazingly good. The shells are quite large, have a good crisp texture and aren't soggy or tasteless like some. They are good on their own, but w/the cream, divine. The cream is already in pastry tubes making it easy to deal with, so it wasn't a hassle at all to fill the shells. Delicious. We had cannolis for breakfast and dessert for a couple days, and oh my goodness, it made a cannoli fan out of me. Highly recommended. I would recommend the shells the cannoli cream and the cheese from Frank & Sal's. Will purchase from them again.

I received these in a very carefully packaged box in excellent condition. I am making my own cannolis for Christmas this year. These are perfect and taste amazing. I recommend these "home made" cannoli to everyone baking for a holiday.

All came unbroken. They were fresh tasting. Would buy again. Great.👍

It is a good shell. I did not realize how big it was. Next time (it is worth a re-order), I will probably order the mini size. It takes a lot of filling to fill the large Ones, which can get costly. Frank and Sal's bakery took so much care in the packaging,they deserve an extra star for that. I received everything intact. Not a crumb of breakage. I hope it was mentioned, but I did not find shelf life or how to store if not using immediatelyinformation, which would be helpful. These people take pride in what they do.
