Carson3D Series High Definition Waterproof Binoculars - Grey

I am an avid stargazer, bird and nature watcher and own several binoculars many being ed binos. I needed some that could give relatively stable hand held views. 10 power and above for me being 64 need to be mounted on a tripod to give stable views. My 10x50 3d ed carsons give just as bright a d sharp images az some 15x70 well known binos that I own but with being much more portable. I also own some 20x80 ed and 16x80 ed binos that give outstanding images both day and night. The 10x50 carson 3d ed views while stargazing, which is the ultimate test for binoculars, is not far behind the larger binos but much more portable. This is why I purchased the 8x42 carson 3d binos. They are not ed but $100 dollars less than the ed version and at 8 power any chromatic aberation is very minimal and only occurs in daytime use. Couldn't be happier with this purchase! Grab and go. Excellent clarity, brightness, and sharpness almost completely across the field of view! Very well made, good warranty, well worth the money. Even works well for stargazing, not the best for that because of 42mm objective size, but great for laying back in a zero gravity chair and hand holding. Contrast at night is excellent for stargazing. The rosetta nebula can be seen the best for me with the carson 8x42 and the carson 10x50 ed binos. Firm believer in carson binos due to experience and constant comparisons. Highly recommend and well worth the money in my opinion!

I'm no expert optician, but I do have an appreciation for fine optics. While these binos have some nice features, like quality construction (as appears from the outside), a nice chest strap and case, smooth focus and twist-out eye cups, the optics are sadly mediocre compared to what I am used to. What I am used to, and look for in binoculars, is a crisp image from the center of the view to the edge and a lack of noticeable chromatic distortion. I have a pair of 11x80 binoculars that I use for astronomy that meet these criteria very well, but are too heavy and bulky to carry around while hiking. I wanted a smaller, lighter pair with a similar power for field use during the daytime. After reading many positive reviews, including one detailed review from a British website, I thought these would have the quality I wanted without the big price tag. Unfortunately, when the center of view is in focus the image begins to blur about half-way to the edge and are very blurry near the edge. Chromatic shadows on high-contrast edges coincide with the blurring; red above and blue below. The image at the center of the view is fine, but I am used to looking around the entire field of view. I will be returning these.

After tons of research I bought these. I compared locally to all the other brands above and below this price range and decided to give the Carson 10x42 a shot. As I compared them to many other Binos I found the clarity very good, they gather light very well compared to the others I tried (unless you want to spend much more $) and I don't see any aberrations of flaws center or near edges. They feel solid and well built, the rubber coating gives a good grip and the controls all work smoothly. It would be nice if the focus was a little faster, but that is a personal very minor nit pick.The case takes a couple of moments to get setup right, and I was skeptical of the flip, flop and go feature but it actually works well once you get used to it. These binoculars are awesome especially for the price. I have Swarovski's and a set of Leica Range finding binoculars and these are just as clear and bright as my Swarovski's and Leica's are and also, they are much lighter in weight. The only negative I have is I wish I would have known about Carson binoculars before I spent the high dollars on the Swarovski and Leica binoculars, my wallet sure would have a lot more money in it than it does now.An added bonus is the high quality neck strap, a harness and neoprene case. These are very high quality accessories, not cheap throw ins like most glass companies include.All in all, I could not recommend these more, the binoculars and accessories are extremely high quality and the price is way more than fair.

These were returned the next day and I received an immediate refund when I shipped them.That said, these were OK for the backyard birder, and many would not have found them wanting. But my copy had a problem. On side was not as sharp as the very sharp other optic.As a personal preference, I did not like the placement or the presence of the thumb rest divots in the rubber armoring. They are unnecessary and did not fall where I hold my binoculars. I think most users hold binoculars in varied ways even during a single observation. If you can get past this, and you get matching optics as good as one side of mine, it's a very good buy.

I bought these for my husband who is a horse trainer. He uses them to be able to see his horses as he clocks the speed they train. I had previously purchased nikkon 10x42mm thinking more magnification the better, only to find they were too heavy and cumbersome. He is much more happy with the Carson binoculars. He gets the visibility he needs and is comfortable with the light weight, with the added bonus of shock proof duality. Water and fog proof are also awesome features that are helpful perks. I highly recommend them.

So far in my use of this set of binoculars I have been impressed with the quality of them. Good job.

The quality of the image in the binoculars is vividly bright and sharp. This is my first purchase of binoculars and I am happy that I researched binoculars first before committing to buy. I am very impressed with these Carson binoculars and look forward to a lifetime of use.

Lovely clarity and very good - put them on your must buy or consider list.......I can see miles and miles.....GR8 for point to pointing..

While there is nothing wrong with the binoculars as such - the opposite in fact - they do NOT come in the drop down case as advertised. This is not just a glitch, we returned the original product for a new one, in the hope the correct case would be with the second delivery, but alas it wasn't. At over £200, we found this pretty dire. As wildlife enthusiasts this has been very disappointing.

Compré estos prismáticos seguidos por la opinión previa y leí la de otros foros, casi todas positivas. Es cierto, son buenos y claros,nitidos y con normal campo de visión en estos aumentos. Son tambien mas ligeros que algunos de marca conocida tipo porro pero claro, este duplica su precio.Por contra aprecio una aberración cromática contenida pero existente que no observo tan llamativa en algún otro del mismo rango que poseo.El envio de Amazon impecable como siempre pero en lo que si ha fallado Amazon es en colocar una opinión de unos prismáticos que no es el modelo de la foto.A dia de hoy no lo volvería a comprar, hay modelos mas económicos que ofrecen mas. No lo devuelvo pues me ha pasado el plazo, los disfrutaré igual.

Excelente por calidad y precio, visión clara, luminosa, manteniendo los colores naturales, fácil de ajustar sin ser muy pesados, el pero se lo pongo al estuche no por falta de calidad sino por el sistema raro de abrirse que queda desplegado y no me acostumbro. Lo volvería a comprar sin dudarlo.
