LOVE THIS! I have horrible knee issues. Bought one for my left knee, worked like a charm. Hubby got jealous bought one for his left knee and another for my right knee. These are great at keeping things in place and maintain great pressure. I've used the adjustable ones in the past, they are the WORST. Pros: - Keeps knee cap straight. - nice and tight/silicone gripper doesn't slip even when sweating heavily - gap behind the knee, this is an amazing feature! Allow knee to bend easily - finger tabs, small thing but we both use them to pull up brace. - closed patella, i've used open patella braces more often than not they get displaced and end up pushing my patella into a position it doesn't belong. Cons: - can be a bit warm. Says it's vented, the back of my knee is cool because of the cut-away, but the rest is pretty warm. I do use this in conjunction with knee taping. Hubby uses it as a stand alone. Both of use are very happy with these.

Hurt my meniscus and had some other general knee issues while training for a marathon and the Shock Doctor knee sleeve worked wonders for me! After resting/rehabbing a bit under doctors orders I was still feeling my knee, especially on uneven pavement until I started wearing this sleeve. It was easy to put on, true to the sizing chart, comfortable, and kept me knee warm and supported. There was a little sliding when I would first start, but it was easy to readjust and once I worked up a little sweat it secured itself excellently and I wouldn't have to adjust anymore. I never experienced any rubbing or chafing issues either which was great for long distance running. Highly recommend, it got me through the marathon!

I just received the sleeve so my review is only based on fit alone. I am a woman size medium and I purchased a small knee sleeve. It fits real good. I don't have issues with it being to tight. It does bunch up a bit in the back. Update: After a week it still feels good. I've lifted weights and done Insanity in it. My knee feels good after my workout. 8/30 - I still use it all the time and it holds up well. It works perfectly

These are excellent. I've tried every conceivable brace and these are great. They keep the knee very warm with just the right support.

I have a few Shock Doctor products that I've used over the years and liked quite a lot, so when I needed a compression sleeve for my knee and saw they sold them at a reasonable price I didn't need much convincing. I recently had my lateral meniscus surgically repaired and the swelling has been persistent through my rehab. I put this on as soon as I got it in the mail and the swelling has gone down significantly. It was difficult to get on (my legs are bulky from body building) but once it was on it was surprisingly comfortable and breathes really well. My knee isn't sweaty and gross when I remove the sleeve. It has a slight rubberized inside pattern to prevent it from sliding out of position. I keep it on for several hours at a time during physiotherapy and my rehab programs which include stationary upright and recumbent bike, and other high movement activities without it moving at all. I'll add that I'm at the very top of the recommended measured patella size given in the sizing chart for the XXL, so how tight it is on me may differ depending on what size you are and where you sit on the chart. Based on my experience, you want to be near the top of your size. Try to aim for tighter rather than being somewhere in the middle if you can. I love this sleeve. The relief was damn near instantaneous.

My husband is a construction worker and he uses these sleeves to help his achy knees. He doesn't like the construction knee protectors, because they are bulky and do not stop his knees from hurting. He does say that after wearing it a while, it becomes loose and slides down. But if you are wearing it just for your knees without moving around like he does, it will most likely be fine. His only complaint is that bending down for long periods, he says that the material on the back of the knee gets bunched up and causes discomfort. He also would like the padding on the front of the knee to be thicker. Again, if you aren't in the construction business these things will not be an issue. I posted here, because he really puts these sleeves to the test, so for most people they will be a great buy.

Overall the knee sleeve works as intended. I had a pair of Shock Doctor 864 sleeves before, which were neoprene, and they lasted 6-7 years before they finally stretched out. Still can wear them but the level of support has diminished. These new 864 sleeves are made with spandex, have only worn them one time for squatting, felt good and secure. Level of support is rated 1 (light) so not looking for tight support but more for keeping the knee warm, which it does. Only time will tell for how long they last with repeated use. Recommend the sleeves for light support and joint warmth.

After returning the largest and receiving the mediums I am pretty happy with these. I didn't want a brace because I have always felt that wearing a brace doesn't allow your stabilizing, connective tissue to properly strengthen. The shock doctor knee sleeves offer a bit of support without being cumbersome and still allow almost full range of motion. The combination of that slight support with the warmth that it traps around your knee does the trick for me. If you wear them for any length of time they will be wet with sweat when you pull them off. I just rinse them and wring them and they're good to go. I've worn it jogging, cycling, walking around, and even while sleeping. The reason they got four stars is because they do slip during more vigorous activities. I haven't had them slip off though. Be prepared to return for a different size unless you can try them on somewhere. I followed the sizing instructions and still had to exchange.

This product is used when working out. It is light enough to not be cumbersome or in the way. It provides extra support and (for me) relieved the strain I was experiencing while rowing and lifting. Has great flex and does not slip. Easy to take off when sweaty. Just be accurate when sizing.

It really eased the discomfort when walking briskly twice a day.
