The trunk release button literally broke as soon as I placed it on the trunk. It is bulky and it doesn’t clear the back side of the bmw logo in the inside of the trunk. Not bashing the product but the compatibility. Unfortunately I bought this a while back and came to install it today with no luck. I am a certified mechanic so it’s not a case of I don’t know what I’m doing, it just doesn’t fit e90s

Camera will not be as easy and plug and play as it claims. Prepare to splice wiring to fit your car because the plugs 🔌 did not not match. The video picture quality was certainly lacking but served the purpose. On the screen, it appears grainy and subpar quality for such a premium product. But on the bright side, it works!

unfortunately i didnt get a chance to install these, but when i did and realized it didnt fit… i missed my return/exhange date and now stuck with them… i am sure the quality is good and all but now i have no use for them… would have given 5stars…

Quality are very poor

I have been installing stereos for 25yrs now, and this is by far one of the cleanest cameras I’ve ever used. But it was the easiest ever to connect. The radio had the u-verse power wire coming out of the wire loom right next to the reverse cameras RCA input. The RCA cable itself had a tiny power wire coming from under the RCA plug, simply connected that to the power wire in the harness. Then when you plug in the RCA cable to the reverse camera and connected the power wire from the RCA to the power wire of the reverse camera, but did not even have to connect to the ground wire for the cam. I expected to have to find & connect to the reveres bulb, nope….. just 1 write that cam from the RCA cable. It was on my 2011 BMW 328xi, and the build quality matches BMW!

Cable from trunk handle to inside the boot no matter how it was routed was too short to reach inside the boot. As this was a 4 core cable and quite small, I didn't feel it was save to cut and extend so I ran the other cable up through the rubber grommet only to find the head to large to fit in the hole in the trunk. Haven't connected the camera to the head unit yet but a quick test to my laptop, picture looks ok, I would say the picture was acceptable and to be expected from this price point.
