nuLOOM Marrakech Trellis Wool Rug , 3' 6" x 5' 6", Spa Blue, Rectangular

The rug looks nice, but it sheds a ton. I've owned it now for 2 years and even with weekly vacuuming it's still shedding. The carpet fibers have taken over my house.

I love this rug! It is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. The color is close to the picture, but it's not exact. The picture makes the blue look like it has a hint of teal in it, but in person there is no teal--it's just a straight grey-blue that's a shade or two lighter than shown. The white lattice pattern is a soft almost-cream.The diamonds in the geometric pattern measure approx 2 feet across at their wider points. The blue part of the rug is looped (like berber carpet). The loops are relatively large (about 1/4 of an inch wide) and give a lovely texture. The white swaths are cut loops (like normal carpet), and they are piled about 1/8 of an inch above the blue sections, which adds more variation to the overall texture of the rug.I only give it four stars because I've had it a several months now, and it's still shedding quite a lot. I believe this is normal with most wool rugs, but I thought it would only last a month or so. The fibers aren't really visible on the rug itself, but they stick to clothing that touches the rug and I get piles of them when I sweep the tile in the next room. Also, watch your vacuum bag closely--I accidentally clogged my vacuum because the fibers filled up my vacuum bag much more quickly than I was expecting, and the whole system backed up. I got it cleaned out with the help of a bent coat hanger, but it was a pain.Since the rug is comprised of lighter colors, I recommend not wearing shoes on it--ours already has visible grey/dirt next to the couch where we rest our feet. I am going to try to clean it with a damp rag.The rug is approx .5-.75 inches thick and has a sturdy woven back. We have ours on top of carpet, so I'm not sure how much it would slide on a slicker surface, but it is sturdy and substantial, so I wouldn't think it would be much of an issue (you could buy a non-slip rug pad if needed). We also haven't had any problems with the rug buckling or wrinkling, even with frequent foot traffic and moving furniture around on top of it.

I really wanted to love this rug. The color and style are perfect, but the quality isn't great. I haven't even had this rug a year and it's already snagged in many places, even though we are gentle on it. The wool is incredibly scratchy and it's never stopped shedding profusely. I'm tired of wool bits on my clothes and all over my house, so I'm looking for a different rug.

I have no complaints so far. The rug seems well built and looks beautiful. It was a gift for my wife and she's absolutely in love with it.

This rug will go with basically any wall color.as an accent color. It is perfect.

It's a great, well-made rug. Durable and cute, perfect for a dorm room or apartment! The color is true to the picture.
