What a first introduction to CM’s work!
Wow! Filthy Rich Boys is my first introduction to C.M. and my goodness she did not disappoint, in fact, she left a huge impression! I’m not a fan of bully books since I was bullied in high school, they bring up bad memories and make me uncomfortable but this book felt different, the storyline, the characters, the setting. I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m not well-read in bully books that I feel this way? Who knows! Either way, I loved it!As a few others have mentioned, I kept forgetting they are in high school - many of their actions and behaviors remind me of college so there was some awkwardness in a few scenes, nothing outrageous though. Those scenes doesn’t not take anything away from the storyline or characters so don’t get the wrong idea.C.M. has a gift of creating solid, well-developed, semi likable (the three guys...) and likable (Maryne and Miranda!) characters. She is able to maintain the differences of each character, none of them stealing the spotlight over one another, it’s just a healthy balance which many authors struggle with. Each character is strong and dynamic which I appreciate. Considering the amount of characters in this book, C.M. knocks this part of the story out of the park! The twists and turns of Filthy Rich Boys was nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, I cried, I was angered. It’s not easy for me to feel this way when reading a book but somehow C.M. was able to find those hidden emotions and yank them out of me. She has a gift for making readers feel everything that Maryne feels and that’s something I highly respect in an authors work.Although I’ve read book two, Bad Bad Bluebloods, I felt the need to review FRB. My only small, insignificant complaint? I wish the books were longer!! ;)

Rough But So Good
I love Marnye and felt everything right along with her! The boys and school are relentless with their bullying, but something I love about this author is the SA is off the table in her books and not used! From the prologue, we know despite how the boys act & what they say, she is going to have her heart broken! I've already started book 2!*The only thing that made me roll my eyes is that these characters are supposed to be 15-year-old freshmen😂😂 NO WAY!!! From their physical descriptions, conversations, and overall content…I never once envisioned them as high schoolers! They easily read as 20-25! Lol I wish it was Buberry University because that would make more sense & still keep them in a similar secluded setting. But oh well! It didn't affect my reading or enjoyment!

well written but spoilers beginning
So I actually like these torture bully, revenge on the spoiled brats books. What I didn’t like is two things (and yeah, spoilers ahead)The first and biggest is: Why is being gay used as such a stupid trope? Half of my friends would Eat these brats for lunch. If you are going to include two LGTB characters then at least let them be more than a punch line, or ashamed of being gay, or any of the tired old tropes that these characters are often used as in writing. Yeah they are teens, but “my best friend is gay and I let their secret out so they are beaten up” is tired and old.Second, Stunich began the novel with its end, making the entire thing pointless and not suspenseful. I knew that our MC was going to get harmed, and by whom. This made the entire enemies acting friendly pointless. Because the reader already knows how the book will end with the First Page. Why? Why do that?Ok, onto the plot…ish. Fancy elite boarding schools do have bullies. They have stratification of kids into social and economic classes. They have waiters, and pretty rooms, amazing facilities and the best equipment money can buy (well some of them do) but what they generally don’t have is staff and administrators who are this whipped. These kids are expensive to house and some come with their own bodyguards. This isn’t a supernatural story where Angel boys can dictate everything because of their heavenly parents. Or powerful mages, demons, or wares, fairies what have you. This is a human school of a bunch of young teens, not college students. It seems security is nonexistent, teachers don’t teach, and for what this school presumably costs (for reference, a mid tier east coast private boarding school goes for $76K a year incidentals not included) I would be hugely pissed if my kids weren’t getting what I paid for. Or got injured. The story bounces between this weird fantasy world of the ultra rich and a secret society where kids make bets with people’s lives and throw $$ around like it’s nothing. And a super rigorous school where the cafeteria is like a throne room and idols can order even the principal of the school down. It’s a setting better suited to a fantasy novel than a contemporary world.

Read ittt
Just read ir. Don't think about. Don't wonder if it's not for you. Read it. One of the best books I've read in a while. It feels relatable even though some of the exact situations never happened to you. It's so realistic but captivating. Shows the darkness and light in all of us, some people having a stronger affinity for darkness.

Oh, mine!!! What a ride!!!
Even if the end of this book was written at the very beginning (brilliant idea, by the way), the author somehow make us tirelessly believe that something will change. She make us get involved in such tangled thread patternthat we keep supporting the idea of a different end. I know… I know! It sounds Crazy, right? But, c'est la vie. That must be a glimpse of this crazy fan’s mind here 🤷🏼♀️😆I truly love CM’s writing, her creativity is endless and the way she can present very serious subjects on her plots is simply perfect. Her stories are always permeated with deep and raw critical aspects, such as many high society twisted social values, soul shattering social marginalization, how a bully mind works, how deep and horrific impacts these situations can cause in a teenager’s (or even an young adult’s) mind. But, among all of these, she, like no other author that I read, knows how to describe the twisted beauty of a rebirth from the ashes of suffering. From the crying felt of pure pain of betrayal, to the most beautiful flight of a heart which wings were forged in the pure agony of fire and sprouting from the ashes.Since my first debut on her books (The Havoc Boys) I simply fell hard for her writing. In such way that I keep gaps of time reading her books, so they would last longer 😉I would definitely recommend. For sure, it’s not a book for the faint of the heart, but knowing her writing, I truly believe every anguish, every word, every paragraph will be worth it.Let’s dig deep on book 2. Let’s grab some serious coffee and there we go again.

Most Intense high school bully romance I've read in a long time!
Filthy Rich Boys has to be the most intense high school bully romance that I have read in a long time! It's got everything, insanely attractive, arrogant boys, unearthly beautiful girls (on the outside), a social hierarchy where money and influence speaks louder than anything else. I was absorbed into Maryne's story for the first page, instantly connecting with this quietly, fierce, strong and determined girl who has been hurt so much but still finds the light in the darkness.Maryne Reed is like a breath of fresh air for Miranda Cabot, the only normal girl in her year and I loved the instant friendship between these two girls. Despite growing up privileged, Miranda takes more after her self-made mother, helping those under-privileged to get into Burberry Prep, she's sweet, innocent and although she loves expensive things her heart is so pure. Maryne Reed, is the main FMC and love interest.... I think? She is so different to the other children attending the esteemed, Burberry Prep Academy. Growing up with an alcoholic father, who loves her but sometimes falls of the wagon and living in a converted train car as a home, Maryne Reed is as poor as Tristan Vanderbilt is rich! Bullied her entire life, Maryne has had to fight for everything that she has, she worked hard to gain the coveted Cabot Scholarship to the most elite academy around and unfortunately it seems that the bullying is only going to get worse. As Maryne's dark past is revealed to the entire school, and the living with the constant anxiety of waiting for the next attack, whether it be verbal or physical can Marnye survive the next four years to achieve her goals? There's a saying that the most beautiful creatures are always the most deadly, the most poisonous, the ones you have to watch out for the most, the ones you can never turn your back on or let slip underneath your guard and Tristan Vanderbilt fits that description perfectly. Arrogant, cocky and with such a sense of entitlement that every time he opened his mouth at the start I just felt so much rage! Another saying is that birds of a feather flock together and though they'd deny it till they were blue in the face, the other male idols Creed and Zayd definitely flock towards their unofficial "king".With epic world-building, intense drama and intrigue overall this is a great read for the high school bully trope lovers! The bullying is strong, so it is worth considering if that is your thing before diving into this read but it is it you won't be disappointed. My only advice would be that before you reach the end of the book make sure you have the time to dive straight into book 2 otherwise the wait to continue whilst life gets in the way will be maddening!

Well.....
Okay, where do I start......If bully romance isn't your thing, then I suggest reading the spoilers from other reviews before picking this book.I read a couple other series written by this author before this one. Let me tell you, there are going to be red flags (big ones), can't even imagine what's so great about these boys that the MC is so crazy about them. Now, if you can ignore them and just here for a ride to experience the train wreck with these characters then you may enjoy this book.I liked that it was fast paced ..... All of her books are so.....Maryne isn't exactly a good person, I tell you because she makes some bad choices in this book. Before this I read Charlotte's story (Adamson all boys academy series), then the Orientation (crossover novel) and now I am reading this. Both the main characters are poor while the guys are rich. But, that's where the similarities end. While Charlotte is bold, confident and happy with her status (basically, she is someone lives the life like she enjoys everyday), on the other hand, Maryne thinks of her situation as equal being in hell which makes want to fit in with rich people badly. She thinks low of herself both looks and status wise. 15% of the situations make her angry but during the rest, she really was craving attention from her bullies. (Sometimes, it almost felt like she has degradation kink or something, because the more they treated her like crap, that much more she was lusting after them.)She made so many dumb choices with the guys. I mean it was very clear they were not to be trusted. But then, well she is 15...so I guess she wasn't mature enough.) ..... But then, since I read Orientation (book which place 4 years later) it seems she is very gullible and has trouble standing for herself.Poor Miranda and Andrew.....Let's see where the story goes from here.

Fesselnde Story und äußerst durchtriebene Charaktere
Worum geht's?[Klappentext]"Break the new girl. That should be easy, right?Trash like her doesn’t belong at Burberry Prep. No, Marnye Reed is going down, and we plan to make a spectacle out of it.Let’s see who can make her fall in love first.Bet’s on. Any takers?***Take on the filthy rich boys. They’re the idols of the school, veritable gods on earth.Old Money. New money. A rising star. These guys are nothing like the ones at my old school.I might come from nothing, but I’m determined to be someone, and I won’t let them get in my way. They say they’ll make my life a living hell; I think they mean to keep that promise.***FILTHY RICH BOYS is a 97,000 word reverse harem/mature high school bully romance novel. This is book one of four in the series. Contains foul language and sexual scenes; any sex featured is consensual."Warum hab ich es gelesen? Was war besonders?
