Good fan but fan power is not good enough for me
I'm going to review the 3 fans listed below, including the Pelonis, for folks deciding between different models1. Lasko Oscillating Tower Fan, 36 inch, 25102. PELONIS Fan, Oscillating Tower Fan with LED Display, Remote Control, 3 Quiet Speeds and Modes, 7h Programmed Timer for Home and Office, 36-Inch, 2019 New Model3. Genesis Powerful 40 Inch 360 Degree Oscillating Tower Fan With Max Air Quiet Technology And Remote1. Lasko - fine if you're looking for a basic, cheap ish fanPros-budget friendly; probably cheapest out of all the tower fans on here-fairly powerfulCons-pretty noisy, but I'm not sure there is a powerful fan out there that isn't super noisy-the one I ordered started making weird noises the second night I used it, so the quality isn't great-not as sleek/stylish as others-not as tall as the others, but that also totally depends on personal preferencePelonis - not bad but fan power is mediocrePros-other fans' displays are lit while the fan is operating, but Pelonis' display turns off so that if you're sensitive to light when you sleep, you won't need to worry about the light coming from the fan display-nice sleek designCons-pretty weak fan power, definitely weaker than the Lasko3. Genesis - good fan except the thermometer is uselessPros-fan power is good-seems to be good quality-nice sleek designCons-noisier as well, but again, comes with the fan power-the thermometer is defective, and there's no way to reset it. In reading some other reviews, it seems that this is a problem across all the different fans. When i contacted Amazon I was offered a partial refund for the defect, but I'd rather it worked properly..Overall, I would say they're all fine, just depends on what you're looking for. I think the Lasko is the noisiest and had the worst quality, but still works fine as a basic tower fan if you're not too picky. I really liked the Pelonis and that the display turns off while operating, but the fan power was not doing it for me. The Genesis, while the most expensive, seems to be the highest quality, but it makes no sense to me that they'd manufacture a thermometer functionality that is useless.I am returning the Lasko and Pelonis, and haven't decided if I will keep the Genesis.

Pretty Nice Fan !!
This fan was pretty much what I had expected based on all the reviews. It's super easy to put together (no tools needed as the base snaps together easily) however it would have been nice if the two AAA batteries had been included for the remote. There seems to be no need or no sense behind the sleep and normal modes and the 3rd mode whatever that is? The instructions have no mention of what the different modes do or even what they are. You basically have a tower fan with 3 remotely controlled speeds no matter what mode you select. There are also buttons on the top of the fan in case you don't want to use the remote. We don't use the oscillating mode and you don't have to use it unless you select that button. We use it in a fixed position. It is nice having the lights appear so you know what speed you are on. The lights stay on just long enough so you know what you have selected. It is quiet and produces a steady stream of air. There are no instructions how to clean it other than use mild soap & water and a moist sponge. (DUH)! I want to know how to clean it really well. Oh well, I'll have to find out on my own. We like it and give it 4 stars. The bottom line is we are glad we bought this item. We use it in the living room watching TV. It's pointed at my wife for her hot flashes! The Low setting is strong enough for her. But it's nice that it can go faster when needed.

Not quite what I was looking for
To be honest, for a $70 fan, I was expecting something a little ballsier. I was hoping to find one that would help keep my upstairs bedroom cool, perhaps allowing me to cut back on AC usage. Laying in bed with the fan positioned maybe 4 feet away, I can barely feel it. It really doesn't cool my small bedroom at all. I guess when I think of a good "bedroom" fan, well, I want it to blow enough air that I still feel comfortable with a light blanket. It's VERY quiet. It's so quiet that sometimes I have to look at it to see if it's still rotating to know that it's even on. Which is a great thing, but for a bedroom fan, I really don't mind the added background noise. I work third shift, so it's actually a welcome addition to help drown out the sounds of the day happening outside while I sleep. Ultimately I ended up buying a cheap AF regular old $20 oscillating floor fan from the Dollar General and THAT blows some air around. On the other hand, I ended up moving this fan downstairs to the living room where there's more ventilation, and it's better there. It makes a soft little breeze, keeps the air moving a bit more. But those who are saying "Wow this fan really blows some air!"....they're blowing smoke up your...well, you know. It's nice that it's quiet in the living room though, so we don't have to turn the TV volume up to 96 just to hear over it.The remote is a nice touch and feels pretty well made. The plastic material the fan itself is made of feels a bit cheap though, especially the base. Like I said, for a $70 fan, I expected more. I'll hang onto it just BECAUSE I spent $70 on it. It's definitely not a bedroom fan if you're a person who likes a...hmmm....more fan-ny(?) fan while sleeping.

Good fan, good features - remote no good.
Besides being a tower and quiet, one of the main reasons I bought this fan was for the remote control operation. 2 years later and my remote no longer works. Fan has decent blowing power, but not super powerful. It is very quiet and has a lot of nice functions. Remote appears to be cheap and they do not have replacements available anymore.
